The victory is not to be a target, but to win

I dont know about anyone else, but I do believe that there should be a rule about people not knowing the rules.  i mean it's not like they arent posted to where people cant get them.  Everyone has access to the rules and it should be standard practice that everyone that CB's on BL should at least know them.  Granted there are updates in the rules every so often, but it should be the leader of the clan that is responsible for knowing of the updates and whatnot.
The only thing that puzzles me is that there is a rule about ignorance of what is said on the forums but there is no rule that I know of towards ignorance of the rules themself.  I think there should be a rule about that if there is not.  At least I did not see one.  Anyway, tell me what u guys think if ya dont mind.

I think you said the word "rule" about ten too many times.. he he

Seriously though...I'm not sure separate wording regarding someone being punished for not knowing a rule should be included.  It's that clan's loss for being ignorant to ceratin issues.  And sometimes, for example in a CB v Network recently, no one is sure RIGHT AT THAT TIME what exactly the correct ruling would be.  We halted the cb, referenced the most recent BL Rules, and found the correct way to go.  No harm, no foul...

All this recent shit going down between all you guys is, no offense, kinda dumb.  Not worth your headache Sab, sounds like it's buggin you.  But hey, this is why this is a great place to have your opinion count...Carry on!

Im unclear as to how these rules apply to the argument of "it was accidental", or "i didn't know about it"...

I have to agree with you wickedson that the crap going around regarding cb's has been bloody sh*te. But unless the rules are abided by... we are systemactially destorying the thing we enjoy doing - playing, and competing on the Damn BL.

What i have been most annoyed/upset by is having been accused of cheeting by a clan - for simply raising a doubt over the legality of a game... Oh i won't go on, there is no point. But i think there are still problems...

Wickedson, I do agree with what you are saying.  It would be nice if things could be dealt with like that, but when it comes to things where time is of the essence then I dont see how that can be resolved by simply going over the rules with the other team such as knowing how to do a cheat test.  To be honest I do not believe that it is my or anyone elses responsability to have to teach some of these newb clans the rules when all they have to do is take the time out of their busy day from posting and look over them.  It is not that hard to do, but clans and their leaders especially should be well aware of the rules and what needs to be done in cb's.  We have run across many clans as well that have many cb's recorded and still dont know anything about the rules.  It's almost unreal.  Like RB for example:  When they were still around they lost a cb that they could possibly have won if they known that a tie isnt if both teams have people left no matter how many one side has over the other.  I mean really man.  And this was this season.  If it was last season i can see the issue but damn that shows you how much that team, (including the leader at that time) read the rules.  All ya have to do is go over them once a week and you are pretty assured to know what is going on.  It isnt really hard to do.
If there is something that neither team knows then it would make sense to check over the rules and look it over.  Not a problem, but most of the time these issues occur because one team knows the rules and the other does not.  Ignorance should not be looked upon as an accident, it should be dealt with accordingly, just as the rule is about the clans are responsible for what happens within the forum.  By forcing clans to know the rules it is taking that small burdeon of the ignorant I didnt know syndrome that seems to be hitting all these newb clans out there out of the picture.  And this way the rules are enforced.  That is why rules are there correct?  Rules were meant to be enforced not taken for granted.
So basically if some clan takes ignorance as a plea for why something should not count they should be penalized in my book.  Again I have stated this before, but ignorance is not a defense.  Just another way to make u or ure clan look stupid.  But one can hope for things to get solved such as Wickedson suggests, but I doubt that would take care of problems like this one, or others of the sort.

Pride and dignity mean nothing on the battlefield!

Well, I agree to what everyone is talking about, but the fact is that, I believe every person that Clan Battles should have the rules in front of them.  I have read the rules, but I haven't seen them lately.  But for some clan pleading ignorance for not knowing a rules is Pferdscheisst.  Come ON!  This isn't an American Court! (The defendant is innocent until proven guilty).  Lets make this a Great Britain Court!(The defendant is guilty until proven innocent).  Those are my thoughts on how to deal with this, but then again, I might have 20,000 people wanting my head as a trophy.  I don't doubt the fact, if you do not know what to do in a situation like Wickenson had, and just go take a look, would work.  It is the fact people will not do it for the purpose of time.   I am just stating that taking a percentage away from their points or something of that sort, would teach them to look at the rules daily or even weekly.

Blitz8)8)8)8)Cool
PS  I know a lot of you will hate me for saying that, but please don't b*tch about it on GameRanger or the forums.  It is childish and just stupid.
