I feel much the same way about it. It's like a second life. When things aren't going well in your real life, you can turn to this one.
That's one of the reasons that made my ban extra bad for me. My dog had just died, weather was to hot to do anything ( 70?F+ ), and suddently, I didn't have GameRanger to turn to.

And the best part is we are not
censored
( except for
censored
and other
censored
) but we are mostly allowed to talk and
censored
. I have an account over at
censored
and your not allowed to even use the word
censored
. I was warned once when I tried to use it as part of my
censored
Kilzo sign-in name and they would'nt even allow it. We have a good thing here, and Jackal, some of us do pay for gr...it's nice to show support for
censored
that has been givin to you for years.

Paying for GR is nothing you will ever HAVE to do, it's just something you do to pay homage to Evill for his years of devotion to the mac community, he's gotta' pay for his living like the rest of us y'know.

I know you're from Alaska and all, but 70 degees F? My god. That is beautiful, beautiful weather. I live in Florida, and it's usually in the 90's. It's 88 right now, and I'd consider it a cooler day than usual. Man, we're out playing basketball, paintballing, football, everything, even when it's almost 100 degrees out. How hot does it usually get in Alaska? I know it can get pretty cold and all, but I'm sure there's a few hot months. Anyhoo, I'm not trying to rag on ya, I'm just kind of curious. When I lived in Chicago, it'd still get pretty hot every now and then.

Mellow, you have to understand about those people in the "North"...they are a bit crazy.
My girlfriend on Vancouver Island is saying it is hot right now but you can bet it isn't into the 80s. Hot to me is warmer than body temp. Warm is like 80s and above, and then from 50-80 is nice. Of course I originate from the North, so 32-50 is still modest, not cold.

I personaly find 70 horrible. Here in Juneau, the highest that it ever gets is about 80, however, up in Anchorage, it will get into the upper 90s.
I like 40-55 in the summer, and 0-20 and sunny in the winter

Here in good ol' Rochester, New York, we've gotta have some of the craziest weather and temperature fluctuations in existence. About two and a half weeks ago, it got up around 80? on one day. The day before this, it had been 30. A few days later, we had the worst ice storm in over a decade. Roads were closed, power went out all over, snow and ice everywhere. Now we're back in the 70's and 80's. Tough to keep up with Mother Nature in this city
Luckily, I'm visiting a college in Florida for a week after finals, so that'll be a nice break from this crap

I remember when I moved down to Florida from Chicago. Florida weather used to be so predicatable. We'd always have a rainstorm in the evening, and it'd always be about the same temperature. Now the temperature hops around everyday. Last summer, it barely rained at all. This summer, the rain has started to pick up a bit. Yowza yowza yowza. Right now, I've got pink lightning shooting around outside. Damn El N?no.

Typhy, what clothes are you wearing when its 70 degrees outside?
Cobra, I've got the same problem. Here in Raleigh, we have basically 3 seasons - HOT, Nasty, and in-between.
During the winter, the weather hovers just above freezing, meaning we get a lot of variable weather, ice, slush, and very rare days of either comfortable temps or nice snow.
In the summer the weather is blistering, 90? is the norm. . .over 100 not uncommon. This wouldn't be so terrible except that the humidity is often extremely high at the same time, which makes for heaving sweating but no cooling. Ever heard the phrase "it's not the heat, it's the humidity"? Well, probably not, but it's true.
Finally, there's spring and fall, which are short periods of weather that's balmy, cool, and comfortable. i.e., 60s and 70s, maybe low to mid 80s.
Of course, I haven't mentioned the temperature jumps of 50? in 24 hours, as well as the devastating floods and hurricanes.
So. . .learn to value your days that are 70?. . .throw on some shorts and a t-shirt, and be happy you don't live here.
