Newest ghost Recon Update

    It  might be just me, but it seems that this newest update of ghost recon hasnt really solved too many issues with the game, especially when it comes to playing it online, and especially hosting games.  I have noticed in many games, foe example, |MP| server, we are playing the game, then all the sudden the game quits.  It seems like that part of the game hasnt changed with the latest update by Aspyr.  and of course, it is not just |MP| server, but all the games seem to do it.  Even when I host a game as IP only it still quits the application if I have over 10 people in it.  I just couldnt believe that the update didnt really solve anything but slight problems with GR hosting.  So I did the next step, which was to contact Aspyr about this problem.  I get the reply saying that they have had no one from the Macintosh community complain about the issue and that it was my comp that was the issue, adn tot try reloading the game.   Now that is just bullshit.  I dont even think the guy that awnsered the question even knew what the hell he was talking about.  So I replied to Aspyr saying that I could get close to, if not more then 100 people saying that this quitting of the game application was a problem for them as well.  Either way, I still havent recieved a reply from these guys.  I am just not sure they really care about the gaming experience for anyone anymore.  I mean if all they can do is send me the dumbass help quotes listed in their website, and tell me that not one person from GR has complained about this, I am not sure I can have much faith in Aspyr's will to try and help the Macintosh community.  To be honest I think they are only in it for the money of translating the game to macintosh format, and not to help the gamers have a good experience with it.  It just disappointing to get this type of resonse from a company that was supposed to gave Macintosh users the "PC gaming experience."  God, what a crock of shit.   I mean if the PC game had this problem it would have been addressed by now.  But Aspyr, who claims to be the Mac only people, make it seem like us Mac users are second rate people.

Well, i can say that i host all the time with no problems. As for Ace's server, he hosts all the time with no problems also. As for a crash now and angain, isnt enought to send an email to aspyr.

Vood, I host with no problems... until it crashes and burns for no reason at a random time. I would say I have to restart it at least 3-5 times a day on average.

I actually have sent an email to Aspyr about the game crashing. They tried to give me the trash prefs, reinstall, etc. runaround at first, but I told them I know what I'm doing and I've tried everything. A few weeks back I got an email saying they knew about the problem and to expect a patch "soon." Please, everybody, email Aspyr and get on their case. More complaining = more work on it = a better GhR.

I agree Ace.  More people should contact Aspyr on that because when I told them they said I was basically making it up, and that they had no reports of this scenario happening with any player.  Hopefully if more people respond to the problem it will get fixed.
