The only things that have been confirmed by more than one person, are problems that are probably related to having a firewall or lag.

1) My server frequently spits people out at loads and when they die.

2) People report timing out frequently, although this may be a mistake, and they are really seeing "ghosts" (see below).

3) A rather unique problem I have is where people see "ghosts". This is probably often mistaken as timing out. I'll try to describe what happens, which I've pieced together from many peoples very confused reports. It seems that instead of warping, people are getting spliced into different locations. A duplicate of a real person is somehow created in another position, and then mirrors every action that the real person does, like if the real person moves forward, the ghost will move forward, if the real person shoots, the ghost will appear to shoot (although no one has been killed by a ghost). Eventually the ghost usually gets stuck in a corner or stairwell, but people can still watch it duck, lean, reload, and shoot. Sometimes the ghost appears at the beggining of the game in the wrong spawn point, as stealth sniper can tell you. My best guess is that this effect is caused by the computers trying to correct a warp, but not getting rid of the lagged out avatar. It could be caused by my work on mods, but this seems unlikely as all the mods I've worked have related to models, textures, and text changes. The ghosts can also be seen on hbs, possibly causing the effect of seeing impossible and/or false hbs data, making it so that people think that the guy who shot them was 100 yards in front of them, instead of behind them, where they really were.

4) No one has reported any other problems other than these three mentioned earlier. I believe all three are caused by lag and/or by my firewall. It IS possible that these are caused unintentionally by my work in modding, and if anyone can come up with a plausible reason for this, like how any mods could cause these, I would like to hear it. In any case, I have already reinstalled RS, but I will keep my old data in case any more disagreements erupt relating to this, so that we can test whether that may be the case.

5) The only one of those three things that could possibly be considered cheating is number 3. But even so, that would be a rather dumb cheat for anyone to use. In the KoTA vs. FiRE cb (i think, but it may have been RnT), they would ask for rematches due to timeouts, and we would supply them with one. We even switched to their host after the (most likely lag created) problems became too severe, and no more problems occured.

6) This is now a completely stupid issue since I have been banned indefinately from GameRanger.

It's obvious you tried to cheat.  By trying to mod your data files, to give you an advantage.  That alone is enough proof you're a cheater.  Did you not hear about that kid "rabid" that did the same thing and got banned from BL until 2004?

The only people that cheat, are those that go messing with their data files, to fix textures, ammo and unis.  Obviously, you got stuck messsing with your files in search for a personal advantage,  which lead your RS to get fucked up and start showing random "ghosts" and other BS like timeouts.  Mess with your files, and you can count on your RS not to work properly.   Good job newbie.  Try learning the game, not changing the files to win.  Way to go genius!  And you thought it would be easy...    CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER!

Where the hell did you get this? Sure, we covered the topic that I have worked on mods for and with other other people, as well as on my own. But "to give myself an advantage"?  Where the hell did you get that? And the rest of your whole post is filled with lots of "Always, Nevers, and Obviouslys". This shows that you didn't really think about what you put down and is usually but not always used when people have nothing to back up their arguments. They state an unprovable fact as "Obviously" or that something just "Always" happens. I cant think of one thing that ALWAYS happens, or NEVER happens. That post is comepletly non-credible, with no real name, no one that said anything similar in this thread, and accusing me and "people in general" of things without any facts. Next time you post make it intelligent why don't you?

Ok, to use your terminology you so greatly decline: Your ALWAYS denying the fact you're a cheater, when it's OBVIOUSLY the truth of the matter by the facts presented.  If you weren't a cheater, you wouldn't even have WASTED your time trying to mod files to gain an ADVANTAGE.  That's why you're so desperately trying to defend yourself from your own FOOT in your MOUF!

People that don't cheat, don't trouble themselves into learning how to mod their files for server advantage.  End of story newbie.

ross, cheaters mod their hosts.  Typhy admitted he wanted to cheat in single player, to gain an advantage.  How did he do cheat?  By modding  his data files.

Mod your data files and then played regular multiplayer games with your modded advantage, also known as: CHEATING.
