DAMN BL Season Winner Logo Design Competition

G'Day. This is directed to the grafx and design freaks within this community.

How about a "DAMN Battle League Season Winner Logo Design Competition"? In my eyes a win on the BL is good, but when you can show it with some impressing logo on your clan site, it is much better...

I can do it by my own as Im a grafx pro, but I would give the space to a real cool logo (with a professional design) on our  www.virus-clan.org.

If Mauti accepts, this could become the official DAMN Season Award Logo that all winners receive from season to season.

After all designs are send in (maybe posted here as links) up to a specific deadline we could make a poll and let the people decide.

How do you like the idea?

Yes. Thx for the contribution. A proper Briefing would be:

"Design an impressing Logo for the DAMN BL Season Winner. The Logo will be given to any winner of the DAMN BL Season and the specific clan can post it at a place on their clan site. The following must be incorporated into the design:
 

• The *DAMN Logo
• The text line "Battle League" (in conjunction with the *DAMN Logo)
• The text line "Proud Winner of Ghost Recon Season x"
• The date (maybe month and year)

Make 2 versions of the logo: A full color version and a version with a single color fill only. The *DAMN Logo is not allowed to be altered in any way except using a single color fill. Any layout is possible. The award logo must have a destinctive look but must be able to be incorporated in any existing clan site design.  The design must be clear and simple so it is easily recognizable even in small size."

Mauti shall correct me if i wrote something he doesnt accept. I await his comments anyway before anything gets started.

Very nice idea Hartman. I'll get back to this as soon as possible but currently I have to clear some issues with Ubisoft and I am busy at university.

Btw I could offer all *DAMN logos as photoshop data to make it easier to use them.

According to my job experience i would say 2 days up to one week from application to deadline is normal... hehe

Yes. Thx for the ideas. This was talked about before.  I added a couple of changes.  A proper Briefing would be:

The Logo will be given to the top 2/3 finishers of the DAMN BL Season in RS and GHR and the specific clan can post it at a place on their clan site. The following must be incorporated into the design:

• The text line "Proud Winner/2nd Place Finisher of Ghost Recon/Rogue Spear Season x"
• The date (maybe month and year)

Also, the clan's logo is required somewhere on there.  Any layout is possible. I think the briefing is more complete in adding Rogue Spear (whats that? a game?) but it differs from my vision i had. Please do not incorporate the clans logo (that would mean customisation every time and i wanted a *DAMN logo standard) and to make a logo for second and third place is up to discussion, to my opinion. I would say "1st only", but I can imagine 2nd and 3rd logos too. Like having Gold, Silver, Bronze, for example (but thats too ordinary, think different, ladies)

I would say only for the winners for each ladder.

The graphic should contain the BL season without dates. Also no clan logos. Maybe do a different one for each ladder so you recognize the ladder without text or make one graphic for all ladders and add a text so you know which ladder...

Start: from now on until thursday next week so I can add it before the 4th season starts.

That's what was planned before, and that's what you should still go with!  

I agree with HartMann on the Gold Silver and Bronze or something to that effect.  

(Otherwise your Hall of trophies would have hardly any content )

Only first place is to my liking too. So the correct briefing should be:

Design an impressing Logo for the DAMN BL Season Winner for the Rogue Spear Ladder and the Ghost Recon Ladder (for the 1st place only). The Logo will be given to the winner of a DAMN BL Season and the specific clan can post it at a place on their clan site. The following must be incorporated into the design:

• The *DAMN Logo
• The text line "Battle League" (in conjunction with the *DAMN Logo)
• The text line "Proud Winner of <Game> Season <Number>" or alternatively "1st Place Season <Number>"

Make 2 variants of the DAMN BL Winner Logo: A Rogue Spear variant and a Ghost Recon variant. Also, make 2 versions of the logo: A full color version and a version with a single color fill only. The *DAMN Logo is not allowed to be altered in any way except using a single color fill. Any layout is possible. The award logo must have a destinctive look but must be able to be incorporated in any existing clan site design.? The design must be clear and simple so it is easily recognizable even in small size. Ask Mauti to send you the *DAMN Logo. Time span for the competition is one week from today on. After the deadline has passed, a vote takes place".

I disagree with putting first, second, and third in.

MP5 was only a few points back of getting third this season, and let's face it, we were good, but our achievments this season shouldn't put us in the Hall of Fame. In my opinion, it should go to the number 1 clan on each ladder, if you want it enough, you'll get it.

It is Honorably Traditional to include 1st, 2nd and 3rd in ANY Tournament or League awards/trophies.

We've already discussed in the past, that all 3 spots would be getting an award/trophy, so no need to start changing things now.

Besides, our clan had the best chance to take 1st from FiRE, only if they would've CB'ed us when both teams had players on.

All in all, we all fought hard and deserve the recognition in the Hall of Fame.
