Well... looks like GR went down, and went down hard today. ?I hope this isn't another multi-day (or multi-week) outage.

But, in case it is, we can still organize some IP games. ?

Two ways I can think of.

1) MaG ( http://www.magleague.com to download the app)

or

2) Hotline / KDX. ?( http://www.haxial.com/download/ for KDX client software.  Make sure to grab the KDX client). ?I have a KDX server up and running all the time. ?Anyone is welcome to meet there to set up games. ?It has public and private chat. ?My KDX server address is xrup.com, guest access is open, so no login or password needed. ?Sorry, no warez for you to download.

Either option means someone has to host, give their address and have other's IP join. ?But it's easier to do it in realtime chat then in a forum.

Let's hope this is a stupid, non-needed post.

Well.... good news and bad news.

Good news is that I'm going to host a game... see my KDX for the IP.

Bad news is that it looks like MaG is down too. ?From the rumor I just heard, it's been down for over a week. ?Sorry if I got someon's hopes up with that.

MaG is up and running.  Sorry for the confusion.  Seems some IP changes just mucked it up.

Time to open this back up...

Looks like GR is down again all day.  So I wanted to bring this back up so you guys can try to organize some games.  No login or password needed and private chat is on if you want it.

hey, while GR is down, does anyone know how to purge my unreal tournament game of useless mods and maps? ive loaded it with so much shit that it takes sooo long to load( im on a mac G4, and im using version 436 of the game if that helps at all)

and i don't think the servers are "down" the connection is just refused for some reason.. (testing maybe) plus you can still get to www.gameranger.com

What is there to do while gr is down i can't promote idea....hmmm I'm gonna play Star Craft.  Anyone else have it wanna join me I'll be in the channel SiN.  Possibly with Wombat and my other friends from school or GR.

BTW... MaG is up and running.  They just went through some IP changes it seems.  The MaG homepage has the IP listed to connect.

Actually, that would make sense that GameRanger ?is refusing connections. That would be a perfect time to test a beta version of GameRanger carbonized. As someone said (I forgot the name as I was scanning the posts) GR.com isn't down, so that means the server(s) is/are up but aren't/isn't excepting connections, except for the certain few who have been picked for testing it.


Or something like that..
