Hm, ran the patch on my Island Thunder "Mp2" folder (which a PC friend unpacked and sent to me) -- the VISE installer said the installation was successful, restarted, etc.  But my palm trees (and a lot of the other items in the game) have poor textures, pixelated and made up of a variety of bright colors.

Is there something wrong with me or is anyone else having this experience?  Everything else seems to be okay (aside from the SOCOM M4, it causes massive slowdown when firing, again -- me or everyone?)

Don't use low texture details for the tress put them on medium so at close range they sharp up or use the high settings. As stated in the readMe the IT system requirements are above the original settings. I don't know excactly what the slowdown causes but I guess that also depends from system to system.

Bye,

Mauti
ps after rereading your post: does some tress have red colors!? Then you have only installed the codecs you must install the Easy Install seperatley. If you only install the codecs IT will remain unmodified. Also make sure it patches the right Mp2 folder.

Ahhh!

Excellent catch, Mauti-

You're right, I just installed the codecs (assumed that all types of the installs did the patch as well.  I'll go back and redo it on the 'easy install' -- thanks for noticing that, perhaps put something about that in the installer or ReadME to keep morons like myself from doing that again. Smiley

And yeah, I don't know what about the SOCOM M4 was making me slow down, none of the other weapons I've tested out have done the same thing -- perhaps when I actually patch the Mp2 folder correctly this time it'll fix that as well. Wink  And if it doesn't, who cares -- I have Island Thunder!

Thanks a lot for putting the mod together (and the further help!)

Fantastic job Mauti! Works brilliantly.

I did notice one problem texture on mine (which could well be my fault) in the final mission, the texture on the metal balcony on the second level of the castle in which the big boss is hiding still seems garbled - at least on mine - but otherwise everything else looks fantastic!

Once more, you've provided service above and beyond the call of duty to Mac players - nicely done!

Now convert Raven Shield!  Grin

well I guess the problem is that you don't have renamed all subfolders. If you open the subfolder I guess your folders will look like Mp2_Actors, Mp2_Map. You have to remove the Mp2 in front of them so they look like your Desert Siege Subfolders. Read in the Project IT for Mac thread page 4 and 5 about it.
