NHL Trade Deadline

I know a lot of you "yankee doodles" could care fucking less about Hockey, but I know that some peeps are Hockey fags like me, and actually care about the goings on of March 11.  I think trade deadline day was a huge success for the Leafs, and I think they're poised for a mean playoff run....

Well, Colorado has now built a killer defense through trades, but I think they've been getting rid of too many youngsters...first Drury who was a total gamer, now Vrbata who certainly wasn't on the same level but was still a young potential star.  They also traded Neminen last year I think and he was another youngster that had great potential.  The Avs are looking a bit old (not as old as the Wings though) but very strong.  They now have a deep and great defense, not just four great ones.  And they still have Roy who can win games by himself (and lose them) and some of the great goalscorers in Sakic, Forsberg, and Hejduk.  I think they are probably the best team in the NHL since the beginning of the year.  They might just sneak past Vancouver to win their 9th straight division title and be one of the top two seeds in the West.

Nothing wrong with looking old as long as you are looking old while you are drinking from Lord Stanely's Cup.

Wings are peaking at the right time of the year again (just came off an 8 game winning streak).  Sergi and Stevie Y are back!

But Ace, the Sharks hoisting the cup?  Only if they come to get their picture taken with it at the Hall of Fame in Toronto.  Wake up Ace.  It aint never gonna happen.

Hehe, if we go back to the fall and find the NHL thread from there Ace thought this year was going to be the year (for that matter he thought the Giants were going to win) so I guess we'll have to just sympathize for his illness that causes him to think the bay teams can actually win.
