what problems are you having, are you saying the character is not responding at all to the points? I havent seen the tutorial but Im sure it lists the points correctly, for example, ^RightHandPoint

Ill send ya a ss of my last model

WM: actually meant through personal email.
I actually contracted a virus which runs the W32mgm.exe which my Norton antivirus software didnt detect, the file I opened had a PIF extension which I got mixed up with a different picture format  Angry
Any how my firewall managed to stop the virus replicating itself, I hope, and I DLed a Symantec patch to remove the virus, hopeully Im clean.

Unclean, unclean runaway. Wink

OK Ive saved the ss and Ill have aproper look.

Thanks

WM: what i actually meant was, I read your post, then checked my mail through outlook express. I recieved mail with the subject sample, and because I was expecting a ss from you and because my virus checker didnt detect it I opened it and was hit with a sodding virus Sad
Wasnt till afterward when I realised youd posted the ss on this message board Smiley

The ss helped, I still need to change the positioning of my model to get it exact.
And the hand points dont seem to do much the brass & flash points work though, Il carry on playing with it mod should be ready by the time everyone stops playing GR and moves over to Raven Shield Cheesy

Thanks

WM: So have you and/or Cobra worked out the hand placement? this is the only thing I cant get to work now (I presume the casing ejection point is OK). Ive followed different tutorials tried different utilities and nothing seems to work.
Think I need help Smiley

Actually Ive never had a problem with the hand placements. I just dled the plugin and put it in max, its worked fine. With the placement of the wep in max before export, in the ss I sent you, the weapon is placed correctly in the right hand each time. Ive never really noticed the ^RightHandPoint doing much of anything anyway, but I do carefully place it. I do however notice a great change each time I move the ^LeftHandPoint around. The muzzle flash point always seems to work fine as well.
To tell ya the truth, Ive never watched to see if the brass ejection point works correctly, I do place it in the models though. Send me a ss of a max file showing the points, maybe I will notice something.
No virsus please... Grin

The hand placements worked in game, they dont seem to matter on the weapon selection screens? Having problems now with the holster point, IM using the wrong scale for weapons I think and have to rescale the holster point (from something I downloaded) by 25000 times. It works but the holstered rifle goes everywhere but the place I wanted, Also strugglinh with the kit icons, I willhave get it figured though!!!!!!

Your absolutely correct dave, you wont see any change in the selection screen, you have to go into the mission, firefight, etc. I never thought to tell ya that, I did that as well when I first began using them. One thing is for sure when modeling, it is usually the smallest of things that give you trouble, hehe. I havent used the holster point, I will read up on it and see if I can help. Coco did them in IDF.
