Do you think there will be a new war in Iraq? I mean why should the US spend millions of dollars to get their troops down there if nothings going to happen. Do you think bush just wants to finish what his dad started or does he want to claim the oil for america... should he be stopped? Or is it realy just the standard " they've got neuclear weapons so we must take them of them" reason. America has neuclear weapons... why can they have some and others not?

Lets try and get a discussion going!!!!!

Far be it from me to ever offer my opinion  Grin, I think there is a strong possibility of going to war with Iraq. Ive heard statements of more than 150,000 troops will be called up by April. Not for certain on that, but it was stated. Im more fearful of the situation with Korea now.
I understand what your saying in the nuclear arms statement. In laymans terms, I guess it comes down to being the biggest dog in the fight, if it comes to that. I know its much more complicated than that but simply put that has to be pretty close to the reasoning. Obviously the more countries you have with nuclear capabilities, the greater the chance of nuclear war. We tend to see ourselves, or I should say its my opinion that policy makers see us, as the keepers of the peace if you will. The strongest always impose their will on others, may not be intentional, but it happens. We believe people shouldnt be oppressed or "invaded" so we go half way around the world to fight wars.
Dont get me wrong, I agree with everything, well almost, we have done so far. I think we need to be more aggressive and be proactive. Maybe thats what we are trying to do with North Korea and Irag. Not sure.

yeah i heard something about corea wanting to perhaps declare war on the USA. Its strange... thinking back about the football world championship last year. didnt seem like there was any kind on conflict.
I watched a documentary about how they are planning to take bagdad (is the capitol of Iraq in Bagdad?) and how it is covered by the Iraqe army. It looks like a very hard fight. Its got 4 circles of defense. Outer one is covered with tanks and AA&AT rockets. then there are soldiers in the streets of bagdad. after that theres a group of body guards for Sadam and then the secret servce i think. That was on TV. They also said that the USA would defenatly win but would have great loss.

Well i'm against this war. It would cost too many lives  Shocked

Simple, because we use ours as a deterent to war, and the others?? well let's just say that I for one would not like to dwell to much on what the "others" might use them for  Sad
