Noob?? why??

A quick question...I never, after 12 months, understood the "noob" insult. You're really not hurting anyone, I've seen guys call someone new a "fucking noob" and then get killed by the new person 5 times in arrow. I just dont understand that. When people called me a noob, i used to just laugh at my screen and then type "NO IM NOT" just so they would think i care. I will probably get bitced at for posting this, but the noob insult is really just stupid.

Nay. I came from the R6 community when there were so many worse insults such as "You're such an ugly fuck" or "fuck you bitch" or "your moms uglier then richard simmons and robin williams tag teaming anal sex with your dog." And then I got to rs and got called a "noob"... it really was quite funny and pointless, because jo gets called "noob" every day... and he's prolly 10x's better then everyone who calls him that ('cept myself of course, he's almost as good as me Wink

). Basically, it's nothing. It's leet and haxor, like whatever his name 2 posts up said.

Hey hey all,

I try and avoid calling others a noob. I remember when I WAS a noob, and could barely walk straight in RS; where aiming was a mysterious thing and death came with each, walking, step.

And it sucked enough without getting yelled at.

Now, the only times I get well and truly pissed is repeated, directed fire at me by a teamate. This gets my goat soooo very much. I understand fuk ups - I tag teammates all the time, especailly when I try and toss a smart nade.... But deliberate fire on friend or utter, terrible ignorance of who's on the team really pisses me of. Basically, it ruins my fun to have to fight my own team and the enemy.

Now in GhR, things are a lil different, as we can respawn and keep going, and most games are time limited, rather than death limited, so one or two mistakes are no big deal. Turning it around, true noobish action is the angry accusation that someone else is a noob.

As for pownd or what not ... call me old fashioned, I dislike it. :-)
But, at least those that say it say it with pride in their skills, rather than anger and the intent to piss on and harass someone else.
