Where did you get your gaming name?

Hey ppl, I am at school and i was checking out the forums and i thought to myself after reading a few ppl's post and many of them from friends I have known now for a long time like pyrex etc, and it hit me!!!
Where did u guys come up with the names you have?

Mine....well I got it from Kirok (my bro)who got it from an episode of Star Trek i believe and he also got his from Star Trek.  What bites the most is when you see someone else come onto GR etc and they have the same name as you, well i have seen a few Nomad's but I am THEE true Nomad *crowd cheers*...NOMAD NOMAD NOMAD!!!!

Anyway, should be interesting to see where/how ppl got their names.

The story of how I became known as tasty is a long and interesting one. It all started in 9th grade basketball. My friends and I were too lazy to try very hard or run in any of the sprints, so rather than playing on the "a" team or the "b" team we made our own team: the egg team. The primary tenets of this "egg team" were eating eggs, not running, and depantsing unsuspecting teammates. Needless to say, we ate a lot of eggs (scrambled, omelettes, eggs benedict, etc.) that year and I changed my AOL screenname to "tasty eggs" (which it has been ever since). When I started to get into warezing/hacking/hotline, I shortened it to just "tasty". I then transferred this name over to gameranger and the rest is history.

Just to follow up: I still eat eggs as much as humanly possible (because they are the ambrosia of our humanly world). I also still play basketball, and I am still really, really lazy. w00t.

My first GR nick was really bad so I'm not going to reveal that. But well about 2 and a half years ago I changed it to kamikaze, which a world war 2 crazed friend of mine liked since I'm half jap, I had that for quite a while, then I changed it to kamisama which is japanese for ?holy spirit?, then it just shortened down to kami, which everyone had been calling me all the time anyway. My original screenname on GR was stewcow. Don't ask how I came up with that because I don't want to explain. Then one day I was looking around my dorm room and saw a pyrex dish. BAM. I took up the name Pyrex. A few months ago I changed my name to PY since a lot of people were calling me that instead of pyrex. Plus I was getting ragged on for having the name of a glass cooking dish.

mmm... well, I got "Capt. Anarchy" from an Anti Flag song. Was just minding my own business, bored as fuck, song comes on, and i think "oh, i'll use that as my name!" Of course, it look terrible without any clantags or anything so that was also the moment of creation for *NADS.

Tacops: TheIdealTaco. Because "spazmotik" was too boring. i don't know why i chose this... i don't really even like tacos. But it had a nice ring to it.

I've always been bronto on gr. My friend gave me that name when we were watching a movie in class about african people and there was those people with the rings on their necks to make them really long, so i was like they look like brontosauruses so mike just decided to call me bronto from then on...and i like it. its sexy.

Hmm, well back in the day... which was 9th grade, I was a noob and discovered AIM while in a Computer class and friends were IM/ing back and forth across the room.  At the time I liked vipers so from then on my online nick has always included "viper."

Let's see, my first GR name was Swoop, because I played a lot of F/A-18 Hornet Korea back in the day. Then, I changed it to Mr. Mellow, cuz that's pretty much my philosophy in life. Just be laid back and mellow. On Vendetta(anyone play that?), the name I use most is Professor Penguin. I saw a cartoon with a penguin wearing a tophat and one of those glass opticals over his eye, and it just gave me the idea. I think it's pretty funny. I also use Penguin, Ph.D. When I used to play StarCraft and stuff on B.net, my name was Pork Soda, after the Primus album.

Well my real name is Matt, everyone knows that. Well one day on Gr i couldnt think of a name. So i decided to use my name Matt. Then my dad started calling me Mattster, so i used the name. Its been my name ever since. (besides when i changed it to Infinty), which is a course on Bristol Mountain where i snowboard.

   I've had alot of names but this is the only one that really stuck. I went to Australia over the summer and at a Zoo I saw two Wallaby's fucking. I got pictures too   But enny ways, I tryed to find the way to spell it (stupid huh?) and actully found the wrong way, 'Wallabie' It's the name of the Australian Rugby team. So you see I got mine from two Wallaby's having sex and a spelling error

I began as "hal" which is my true nickname in life but then I changed it to sniper because thats what I did a lot and I liked the Sniper in Saving Private Ryan. then I create Clan |ROTC| (yes yes all you critizers snicker if you will)  and the then PnzrLeader and I met. We were best of online friends and both newbies so stuck together. Then we wanted a name change. PnzrLeader, although a New Yorker is closley tied to the German Governemtn and all that good stuff and although is not a nazi or not racist he did think had a smart general been in charge The German army could have won in the 1940's (he doesnt again he DOESNT support the views of the third Reich). At anyrate he wanted something german I wanted something Sniper and we wanted named that fit together (Salt and Pepper type deal) And we find the perfect match, the Russian SNIPER Zaitsev, and the GERMAN sniper Konig. And they fit together. Also I am partly Russian though not by birth, My Grandfather was and changed name @ Angel Island. At anyrate thats the end of story time.
