Why is apple so slow?

Lol. . .maybe we should all think about this in terms of high school chemistry:

speed of light = frequency * wavelength

Thus if we have a processor that runs at 2.5ghz, it's wavelength must be shorter than that of a processor running at 800mhz.  And really, what's so great about having a short wavelength anyway?

Maybe if you have a small computer like a laptop you need short waves, but I prefer longer waves myself.  Just ask any surfer.

The MhZ for PC vs that of a Mac are not the same, so generally the Mhz for that of a mac is ROUGHLY 2x that of PC's.  So whenever I hear a PC person say "I got a 1 Ghz PC ha ha!! you only got a 800Mhz mac",  I laugh at him b/c that roughly translates to a 1.6 Mhz to a PC, which means my mac is higher...dumb f$#ks.  Besides speed comes from the length of your pipelines as apple explains.

Well, of course there's the Megahertz myth as apple likes to put it, but the 3 ghz p4 still owns any g4. Putting two processors in instead of one is just a cover for the processor being really slow if it had been alone. I really hope we get faster processors soon..
