I just started my first attempts on 3d moddeling with gmax.
I love this program.

Good work Ive been doing 3D modelling on and off for 3 years and I still havnt tried characters, great work for first time - a lot beter than my first attempts.
Anyone tried both Max & Gmax?

any way dave... Ive seen some Screenshots from 3dsmax and it looks just like Gmax apart from that 3dsmax has more stuuf you can do. I say 3dsmax is better but why spend 2000$ if you can get a nearly as good programme for nothing :-)

Ive got Max and Ive got  copy of GMax also got that free copy of Maya which has its exporting facilities removed, Ive only tried Max out of the 3, I used to use Truespace, but the versions I had were very limiting.
I was really just wondering how different GMax is.
Ill have to post some of my best work back in the truespace days.

heres my unfinished sopmod m14. does anyone know how to apply textures in ether 3dsmax or gmax and how to apply smooth to only some of the vertices and how to substract something from an object.
