Thanks again Coco. I haven't had the chance to play it yet but I did open all the uni textures in PS. They look amazing, even better than the first skins in the mod if that is at all possible. I really like the look of that SF night ops skin. Anyway we all owe you a big debt of gratitude, top notch work again by all.   Wink

Cocobolo,

I've downloaded IDF 1.3 and luv the update. When I try a GR mission (not a DS/IT mission) and look at the specialist area, I get one specialist with no name.  If I select this no name, I get a crash-to-desktop.  I'm I the only one getting this?  This doesn't happen when I choose missions from DS or IT.

What specialist is it? You are saying that there is only one specialist available? What does the character look like?

It is the first specialist that you can choose for a GR quick mission.  His name is blank.  All other specialist names are there and are good to go.  Hope this is a better explanation.  Smiley

Is there anywhere I can get this without having to use gameSPY(ware) or it's subsidiary fileplanet?

There may be, but I am not aware of anyplace currently. Many ppl aren't aware that you can get these mods for free from Fileplanet, you just have to create a login, that's it. Under the list of pay servers are usually at least 3 free servers.

I saw that I could get it if only I "register" with the almighty gameSPY off it's fileplanet site. With the proliferation of gameSPY and its incorperation into so many newer games, it seems it is only a matter of time before we have to register with them and submit to them anytime we want to play anything online.  I can understand why you use fileplanet and I respect that, but I will have no part of gameSPY or it's almost complete dominance over all PC gaming interests. Forgive my rants.  I sincerely thank you anyway. I will say, Cocobolo, that I very much enjoy your HK ITD Mod, Official Swat Mod and U.S. Tac mods for Urban Ops and still play them to this day. I now play Ghost recon as well. I had hoped to once again see your magnificent handiwork in your mod for Ghost recon as I have no doubt that the quality you are so well known for has continued onto this game. If I am unable to download your very interesting looking IDF mod for GR from anyplace else that the ever unavoidable gameSPY industries hosted fileplanet, I simply will not get it. I salute you for a job well done in past mods for RS/UO and it seems that I will no longer be able to download any of your fine work. I will not support gameSPY.  Angry I will continue to enjoy GR without mods (aside from island thunder and desert seige) and RS/UO with Nato 3.5 and the kick ass mods I listed above that you masterfully created. Grin

Keep up the good work! Maybe I will eventually find your work hosted on one of your many fans websites.  I will keep my fingers crossed and my search engine warmed up. Cool

I dont understand what you mean by saying "supporting" gamespy. If Im correct, all you do is register and you can use their public servers. It doesnt cost anything. I registered almost 1 1/2 years ago, under a email I dont use anymore. It still excpets my login. I may be misunderstanding, if not, my friend you are really missing out on a great mod.

I don't really know what the animosity towards Gamespy is about, I mean it's a small hassle to register, but you have to register to use a forum and you can get a lot more out of Fileplanet than a forum.

Either way, I've been hosted here on the gamespy network for Cocobolo Ops's entire lifetime, and they have treated me well and have never interfered or tried to change anything I've done with the site. That and unlimited space and a good bandwidth is all it takes to make me happy, in fact the design of their integrated style of "Gamespy network" makes it very easy for a webmaster. You are really missing out on IDF! Grin

 Huh
Character problems here as well.  90% of my characters are all white, with no detail present.  Did I misread re a patch or you must have all three GR games for it to operate?  Please advise.  Thanks.
