In the PC world, the cb rules are 5 repawns, 20 mins, last man standing, most kills win.   Are we going to just copy them or come up with something unorthodox/original?

You could also do it like Rogue Spear where we get one life and then the team with peole left wins a game, best out of ten, 5 on each host ect. but I think it is important that each clan gets to host no matter how we do it.

Was the reason for multiple hosts in RS because of the lag issue?
I host ghr and no one has ever complained about lagg or warp, infact chase plays quite well on his 56k.
The pc rules seem pretty fair. Anyone who bitches about respawns has to realize that this is a different game than RS. I think one host would be kosher, and if no one could host a intermediary could host (thanks to the observer selection).

We will see. At the moment I am against respawns because it reduces the amount of teamplay. If you only have one life you have to be more careful (no spraying and praying). Yes GR is different from RS: it is more tactical but that has nothing to do with respawns, which are more fitting for Quake/UT/CS ladders.

About the host thing we,*DAMN, could make a own script so a clan invites another clan(s) for a cb. If the guest clan wins he gets additional 5 or 10percent for winning a cb. If the host clan wins he gets only the normal points.

Also we have to think about cbs with 3 and 4 teams.

Well the GR ladder will start with the 3rd season so we still have sometime to discuss this out.

Bye,

Mauti

http://www.igsleague.com/gr/rules.asp

This website has the exact rules of the IGS  Ghost Recon battle league.  They're pretty complicated, because there are more than 2 types of cb.   Basically everything is tallyed of kills, so in 4 team cbs the clans that come 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are determned by adding up all the kills and reporting the BL.  I think this is cool because you can see everyones personal stats, such as who has the most kills, most accurate, etc.

Well, my sugestion would be to have it set up with 3 different rule settings, with the standard being infident time, no respawns, if the clans agree, they may do other types.

with GHR more prone to camping and snipers one death is pretty damn strick on some of the maps. The one drawback to unlimited spawns is the spawn camping that goes on in the roadblock map, and village.

There is actually a mod out that makes you spawn in a random place to prevent spawn killing.  I also think that one kill is a wee bit strict with things like rocket launchers where you can probably eliminate a whole team in a couple seconds.  Also having multiple spawns ends the annoyance of going into overtimes and having to trade off hosts after every game.  I disagree that havning spawns takes away from the tactics of the game because an organized team who can re-group, and have plans can always beat an unorganzied team who just go gung-ho at the enemy.

I am in favor of no respawns. Respawn camping is the gayest shit ever. I would also be perterb if I was the winning team, or the respawning team. I would have fought all the way to the base while enemies continue to respawn. Mauti could you get a BL admin from the PC world to comment about their system of cbing on this board?
