Lothario, if you are maintaining this league, dont taint it by posting your draft choices or choices of those who you think will be going in any kind of round.
The posted "hot draft prospects" are my opinion and the opinions of five other people. I asked various people (that is, not just KoS members) to make a list of the top twenty people who have signed up for the IRSL, and then I tallied votes. The people who recieved the most votes were the people I mentioned in the list. I am also continuing to take votes on this matter to refine the list.
Besides which, the list was posted for the benefit of potential captains who have not played with many of the players in the IRSL. Lack of knowledge of the players should not doom a captain to building a weak team. The list was not intended as any sort of a serious ranking or anything. It is merely data for the captains and something which provides more of a sports-league feel for the people involved.
Quote
Also, another flaw that you made is that you named Captains in your draft picks...tsk tsk.
We are still hoping to get more than ten potential captains so that there will be a choice. Some of the captain candidates may not become captains. Placing the captains in the draft choices seemed a sensible thing to do. Besides which, I'm working under the assumption that all the captains will be sharp enough to pick up on the obvious flaws in my list and adjust accordingly.
Quote
Also, here is a question for you douchebags: Who the hell picks first? In order for you to get a fair result, no one who is participating in the league can make this decision because it wouldnt be fair.
Bondo is handling the random selection. I trust him to do it fairly, and so do many other people.
With regard to Assassin's charges of potential high-level cheating and other assorted despicableness on my part, I am simply hoping that enough people have a positive opinion of my morals to be confident that I would not cheat my friends and colleagues for personal gain.

In response to the offers of webspace and HTML monkeying, thanks a lot.
Right now, though, we're just going to run the IRSL through this forum. It's simpler, easier, and it's a well-known place. Next season, we're hoping to make the IRSL bigger and better, and then we will probably build a web site to house it. So anybody who's still willing in a few months, we'll take you up on your offer. : )

*sigh* I just raised the possibility of things coming apart if it did look collusion was going on...you just have to make a system that everyone thinks is fair.
Dest: I am playing Devil's Advocate so you guys get all of the potential errors out of your system before you start.
Bondo: I meant the captains pulling numbers out of a hat, not you

Let's just let the boys do the work.
It will turn out fine, and names out of a hat are perfect.
And in regards to who picks first, i say draw the captians names out of a hat too.
I think that it was smart for Loth to post the top draft picks. It gives the capitains a good look at who his fellow Rs'er feel are good. I think that just adds to the excitement. And like Loth mentioned, it gives the captains a little help with ppl they have never played with.

Typhy for the second round if he's not a captain right? Because I thought he was on the captain list and we still need one more.

Like I said before, I'm just being sloppy and putting the people who got votes on the list. I'm not cross-checking it against the list of captains.
In other news, hopefully we'll get more captains than we need (
NUDGE, NUDGE CONTACT BONDO TO VOLUNTEER TO BE A CAPTAIN
).
Typhy, obviously you don't hate to be arrogant. ; ) Naw, don't worry. I'm no lover of false modesty either. The list is in no particular order, other than by votes.

What is this term modesty? In other news I'm the best mg user in MoHAA.

Ok Typhy, let me dumb it down for you
I write names of captains on pieces of paper...stick said pieces of paper into hat...one by one draw papers randomly from hat...draft order is order I draw them out.

Draft news:
The draft is beginning earlier than scheduled in order to give the teams more time to play together before the season. The draft will begin this weekend.
At present, the list of captains is as follows: Ben, Yoda, Mattster, Wombat, Capt. Anarchy, FarmerJeb, myself, Typhy, Brain, Geek USA.
IF YOU WANT TO BE A CAPTAIN, LET BONDO KNOW ASAP! The list of captains will be finalized no later than Saturday evening.
The order of picks will be chosen randomly by Bondo before the draft begins and it will be posted tomorrow in the draft thread which Bondo will create.
The draft will be a list draft. Each captain will submit to Bondo a list of his top ten picks for the round. When your turn comes up, you get the top choice of yours who is available. There will be one round a day until the draft is completed. The draft will last four rounds until all forty players are drafted. The deadline for the first round draft submissions is Sunday evening. All current and potential captains should begin choosing their draft picks.
DO NOT POST YOUR DRAFT PICKS! PM them to Bondo through the forum.

As of now there are a couple of captains who have said that they will if they need to but would rather not, so everyone is still encouraged to put their name up for consideration so that these captains do not have to be so.
A further reminder, we ask that you do not pick clanmates to be on your team...the whole purpose of this is to be on a team with people from other clans and the reformation of the clans here would dampen that. If members of your clan are left in the 3rd and 4th round, feel free to pick them, but I do not wish to see it in the first two.

Well Bondo, if there is an opening for a Captain spot, I would take the role. Please let me know asap so I can start thinking of a team. I have the name already, so let me know.
Thanks,
