It's actually the Stoner 96 LMG currently being produced by KAC. I'd loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove to se one in the next mod as it is, imho, the best looking weapon ever created.       Grin

You made one awhile ago, though some metal parts were now black like those pics. Also it was missing the linked ammo belt.

That would be cool. And the Bizons. Whatever happened to those cool models of the Bizons?

SC, I'm having trouble finding references to the Stoner 96. Every site I go to has talked about the LMG or LMG-1 with no mention of the 96 (except for Robinson) Could you point me in the right direction?

Q_ARMM posted this nice comparison of the 63 and 86 Stoners

The Gun Digest Book of Assault Weapons, 5th Edition. Krause Publications, 2000

It's got five pages on the weapon talking about it's history and current specs. They state the guys working on it gave the Stoner 96 LMG designation, which I assume is official. I specifically bought the book just because it had the editorial on the weapon. Its got quite a few other pieces too, such as one on KAC, a nifty looky Parker-Hale sub-gun, the M249, MK19, crew served weapons, G36 series, An-94, etc.

Specs.

Name: Stoner 96 LMG
Caliber: 5.56mm NATO
Operation: Gas-Operated
Cyclic Rate: 600 RPM
Weight: 9.36 pounds (without bipod or buttstock); 16.07 pounds with bipod, loaded 200 rnd magazine
Length: 26 inches (without buttstock); 32.5 inches (with buttstock)
Barrel: 15.63 inches; quick change capability with head space adjustment: 1-7 inch twist.
Magazine: Linked 200 rnd M249 box magazine or M-16 rifle magazines, with adaptor unit.
Sights: Aperature rear, protected-blade front; integral sight rails for optical sights, other fire control systems
Maker: Knight's Armament Company

Thanks SC. I'll have to try to find that one.
I think though I'll call it the LMG, 'cause otherwise I'll start confusing myself.
Which isn't hard  Grin

There's a mod Idea. All Stoner weapons. The only thing you wouldn't have is pistols. Now that I've written that, I'll find a Stoner pistol Smiley
Rifles, carbines, LMGs, sniper rifles, anti-material rifles. Wow.

MAC, can you send me those latest ones? I don't mean to pile it on ya, but do ya think you could whip up one of those bad boy minimi's from the last post for a specialist? Since you're always complaining that you've got no work to do, lol.... Cool

Hell yeah I can  Grin

Ooo Ooo Ooo! Grin
That'll be great! Are you going to do the all black model or the silver version?
Personally I think black looks kickass.

Hey if the LMG can take KAC RIS rails, it should be able to mount a 40mm Grenade launcher. Hint Hint  Grin
It'd probably weigh a ton though.
