ok xbox controllers aren't for giant hands... Im 14 and I have average hands for a 14 year old... however large average hands are.... I dont exactly walk around comparing my hands to other people's.... well anyway back on topic, my hands fit the controller perfectly now. As I said before it takes a little to get used to just like any controller. I remember back in the day when i had my psx, I couldnt even hold the controller right for the first couple of weeks, sorta like when I play my friends game cube now.
And yes online capabilities own... sorta like xbox's multiplayer. Thats one thing thats bad about ps2. Without getting multitap which is really only for sports games, only two people can play on it at a time. Plus, gta3 is only a 1 person game witch sorta sucks. But in games like halo, blood wake (bw might not be the best example) you can play with 4 people at a time. I know you can do this on the game cube, but the only game I would do that for is super smash brother's melee, otherwise the other games dont even hold my attention longer than my teachers do in school, and my attention span can be pathetic

Sorry, but if you are interested in multiplayer offline gaming, the PS2 and Xbox are shit...nothing matches the Gamecube in that area.  Super Smash Bros., Super Monkey Ball, Mario Party, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart (yes there is a theme here), and Timesplitters 2 (if you go for that whole FPS thing) make it the ideal party console just like the N64 was before it.  Sure the Xbox has Halo...and Timesplitters 2 but as a 4 player party system it just isn't on the same level.

I'll admit that playing mario party can be remotely fun with friends. I've only played that game once, but if you get 4 guys sitting around with nothing to do and a few racks of beer... its fun.
I think its just me, but i usualy only like to play FPS games over the internet. I wouldn't spend themoney on a network adaptor for my ps2, because i could care less about playing that online, also my 4 port hub is full, and i don't want to spend more money on another hub with a uplink for a ps2 alone. Not to mentiont the fact that GTA3 hasn't left the cD tray of my ps2 for about a month... i have no intrest in online gaming on the ps2.
Also fps games on consols suck ass. yes, even halo was ruined by the use of the controller.

ps, if you thought playing Rs with 11 year olds like mattster was anoying... image what online gaming on the gamecube is like  Grin

Halo NEVER gets boring!  I play it every weekend and always try to do more levels on legendary (haven't been able to beat it on legendary yet).  Personally, i think Halo 2 will own all games.  The only regret i have about not having gamecube is super smash bros, that was an awesome game on n64!

bondo, timesplitters 2 sucks ass. the only halfway decent game you listed is super smash brothers. mario kart has been all fubar since they changed it to real 3d,  and those other games are only amusing if you are 9 years old, or have attention deficit disorder.

and yeah jeb.. online gaming for the gamecube will be one big phantasy star online clusterfuck

Geek, you are an ignorant fanboy so just try to avoid speaking.

In the next year the Gamecube will have the following online games if EGM's rumor section is right.  Mario Kart Online, Animal Crossing Online, Gamecube Wars (sequal to the GBA game Advance Wars that is excellent), and Mario Party Online.  These four plus PSO are worth more than a million sports and FPS games.  And that is just the one announced title plus some from Nintendo ones, that doesn't count any number of other third party titles that will no doubt pop-up once the online capabilities have become a reality.

Hmm, no Ace, I give deep logical reasoning for liking the Gamecube more than the others.  I don't just say, that game is fubar.

Geek on the other hand uses stupid arguments like saying that a game is only amusing to 9 year olds when most of the game reviewers have given the games I listed extremely high scores and all the Nintendo owners that I know (all of whom are older than me) enjoy as well.  So take your post and shove it up your Ass Ace.

Bondo, like it or not fubar is quite an appropriate description for stating one's opinions of games. There are just some times when game developers miss and the game isn't enjoyable. In this case, Mario Kart is fubar; the one true Mario Kart was for SNES (my lord was that a sweet game) and anything after that has been weak sauce. As for game critics, who gives a fuck. Critics in general are morons; why would I need someone else to tell me how to think?

When it comes down to it, everything here is *highly* subjective. As a matter of fact, the only cold hard facts produced in this argument so far have been by Jeb about how there were more preorders for a single PS2 game (GTA:VC) than there were gamecube system sales period. You shrugged this off and went back to your fanatical "OMG OMG MARIO RULES, I WANT TO MAKE LOVE TO HIM." So why don't you take your post and shove it up your ass.

Actually I corrected Jeb because there aren't more GTA:VC preorders than the 7 million GCN units worldwide.  Besides, GTA:VC has no chance in hell of being the highest selling video game in history (which is Super Mario 3 with 15 million).  It just won't happen.  The thing I really like about the 5 million preorder number...there will be a flood of used copies available within a month of its release for me to pick up for half the normal price.
