OK, I already reardthe T.E.T section on playin RS without a disc..  I did all that and ended up with a Rogue Spear.img file on my desktop, now when I double click it it opens opens the dialogue box with Disk Copy as the only option, so I click it and a image appears of what looks like a floppy disc or something with Rogue Spear under it. So Im like, cool it works, but it doesnt, when I go to start a game it still says Insert Rogue Spear CD and try again.

Did I do something wrong or does this not really work? My comp wont read any disks I put in the drive (Piece of shit old ass imac), so the only way for me to host or play SP is buy doing this. Can someone please help me figure this out? Thanks.

Did you make a disk image of the install CD or the play CD?
It sounds like it might be the install CD that you imaged.

drag the Rogue Spear.img file onto stuffit-expander...
don't double click it, if you do, disc copy will open it...
you need stuffit-expander to open it...

i would like to say that the best image making program in the world is called:  DVDextractor.

It's a free and easy to use program, and totally works with any CD.  Toast comes in second place.

Disk copy.... rofl.  stopped using that about.... 2 years ago.

kilzo.. did you do a full install of RS or a normal/minimum install? if you didn't do a full install you have to have the disk with all the data in, and the .img doesn't have any data on it.

Don't be mocking Disk Copy. Compressed disk images are good things. I'd rather have 560 MB of my disk eaten up by an image rather than 640. Other programs image disks much more quickly, but that's because they don't compress. Tradeoffs in all things.
