Well we had this discussion last season as well but the poll was screwed so I forced 3rd person. However I got many requests to put a poll up again for the 2nd season. 59percent voted for 3rd person off and thats the new default setting. Of course if both sides want to use 3rd person you can enable 3rd person.

You can see it as practice for Raven Shield that doesn't have a 3rd person feature anymore.

Uhh...Viper...without a reticle there isn't a way to aim as you can't see your gun (and thus can't look through your gun's sight).  So no, reticles shouldn't be tuned off.  I suppose you could call just shooting what is in the center of the screen aiming, but no, sorry that just doesn't work...I tried playing Medal of Honor Frontlines which does that and I couldn't hit a thing...it is just awful.

i just hate how people who shall remain nameless (AGT colin) complain about 3rd person and things.
All the people who use 3rd person the most seem to be the vets of the community.
i don't think that i use 3rd person for the tactical advantage to often, i usualy like to watch myself run around with it (i don't know why but i do)

then i also use 3rd for camping, mainly on chalet.
If thats a reason to ban 3rd, then i'd camp in first person if i cared.

btw, why not mention sensors. alot of bitches like to complain about that

Kinda funny how certian clans complain so much about the little removal of a thing like third person. Viper, the diffrence here is that in real life you have an immage using a marker on your gun or a scope to aim through. In a game, you can't get that view, that is why reticules are used. So in actuality, removing the reticule would be less realistic.

Well, I certainly wasn't in favor of removing third person...but alas the majority has spoken...but like Mauti said, you CAN use it if both sides agree on it.  Hopefully only a few sour apples will not allow it.

3rd person was a queer feature anyway. i never used it, so banning it from cbs certainly made my job easier. all the vets that bitch about not having 3rd are lazy... possible because they want to spend less time on RS and more on TO. you know who you are.. whores

I haven't noticed 3rd person to be a big problem as far as camping goes in cbs.
well the isrl battle between ict and that other one had some hard core campage in it. but it was in spots that didn't require 3rd person. Other than that once little battle, i've never camped in a cb.

Next to my comments on the BL news site I want to add that this decision has nothing to do with realism. 3rd person was turned off because 59percent wanted it off. I also used 3rd person myself however most people are happy with this new rule so we will use it this season.

If KoS really wants to leave the BL don't blame it on me that's bs. Obviously you are just afraid for something new I didn't expect this behaviour from a clan that won sovereign the 1st season. At all it was a community decision and not my own and the BL works together with the community.

The simple fact that you changed a rule which was already there because of alittle 9 % difference mind boggles me. The simple fact that your gonna force poeple to play with modded maps mind boggles me. The simple fact that your questioning my clans senioritity just because we don't support you mind boggles me. The simple fact that you don't listen to what veteran players say, and just listen to an over populated noob group mind boggles me. I will guarentee that half the peole who voted to disable 3rd person didn't even know what it was, however just "something that killed them".

For the amount of you guys who bitch on pc players, you should look in the mirror. When a game comes out for pc people dont sit back on a forum and bitch about, yet they play and play and play untill they learn how to use it and win with it. The Mac community is becoming into a area which one person will start a suggestion, and 100 noobs will mimic what he says without thinking twice about it.

However, just because I dont' agree withwhat your doing doesn't mean my clan won't play in the BL. I will just sit out and watch people say "last season was alot more fun" and laugh

Well all I know is that when people bitch about me and gorf and ult using third its because they are getting owned. If you want the game to be MORE realistic u need to remove the following things...

Reticules- THe reticules for most the guns are messed up like PDW, Uzi, G36K etc
Every gun except the 9mm pistol- In real life i doubt any of the guns are as horribly designed as in RS.

My point is, If you want real, go buy two guns and shoot eachother. THATS REAL. For now i am playing  computer game that is not real therefor taking away things that "arent real" is like taking away the cpu game itself. I stand my ground. 10 Bucks says the next post is Typhy or Rapid saying im wrong. L8ers

Ult, the vote in favor of getting rid of it was 59 to 41...that is 18 points not 9.

Also, the reason he says KoS is because 3-4 people from KoS have said they aren't playing anymore.  It seems that KoS is the only clan that is really having a problem with the rule.  And you say vets are the ones who want it, I'll remind you that OoA (Reaper I believe) was the one who asked for the vote...OoA is generally considered a vet clan as well...so don't give me this n00b conspiracy against KoS stuff.

If you know how I feel about MoH (leanwalking, shotties, rockets, etc should not be allowed) then you can see that I probably wouldn't look kindly upon people who use third person to do something they couldn't do with first person.  Finally, like I said earlier, find people to play who will allow you to use third person, then you can still use it.

lol, i'm not gonna argue, but for now i am gonna consider myself as one of these "elite" players (u know i am ) who are opposed to third person being banned.  Most of us who know what it is, barely use it!  I am used to it being on, so it will still always be on in my games.  I will accept that it's being removed from the Bl rules but i still think it's a bad move.  Speculation that KoS uses 3rd all of the time is wrong and only shows how ignorant and pathetic the accuser is.  I have watched gorf, no not after i die by pressing pageup but while he's home and right beside me playing on his laptop or on the new g4 (u whore).  He barely uses it at all, nope, i'm afraid they r just owning u with pure experience and skill.  I'm only saying this cause i have seen one the best rs player in gr up-close and i know the truth.
