help about ghost recon!

ok so im  bit new to modding of ghost recon and rainbow 6 etc..
1. i want those damn background images of the menu? how do i extract them?!
2. whats a kit?
3. i got problems with the IDF mod, it crashes everytime i try to load it.
4. i dont get it, mods, are for single playered maps or multiplayer?? and IDF mod in praticular
 

im a simple idf soldier who wants to play this mod and all the other questions  

please help me!!!

try downloading the patch for ghost recon. that should help :-). kits are a group of weapons you can chose of e.g. primary+secondary weapon like an assault rifle and a handgun, sniper rifle and a handgun, assault rifle and a demo pack
there are different kinds of mods: multiplayer mods, single player mods and mods for multi- and single player. The IDF mod is for single and multiplayer.

For the crashing issue, please make sure your game is patched to the most recent version. These patches can be found at Ubi.com. Then just Download IDF and also, the patch. Install both, but install the patch second. It should be fine now.

The background images are in a folder inside the mod's folder called shell/art. They are .rsb files, so you'll need Photoshop and the rsb plugins on your Desert Seige disk to view them.
