how do u make moving smilies...

i think someone posted this topic before, but how do u MAKE them, by hand. does it have to do with flash or shockwave or something? i mean moving smilies like :  ,  ,  , not just an image. if there was a post about this before, can you link me to it?

These are animated .gifs, which can be made using image editing software.  I'm sure there are a number of shareware/freeware utilities floating around, but you can do a search for one just as easily as I.

However, I use Adobe ImageReady to make mine (anybody remember my piano/trumpet picture?)  It's my favorite app to use, but then again it's the only one I've used...
