Who's the best host for RS

Well of course ejo. ?He likes to think he hosts the best 7 player Rogue Spear games. ?And I'm going to back him up by telling you all how lag free his host actually is. ?I mean its a 350MHz G3, but so what, that doens't mean it lags a ton. ?I will do anything to support my opinion that Rapid has the best host, hands down it's the best host.

HAHA, If thats true about 350MHz G3 then rapid must be the best host on GR(at warping).  Also if i lag to you and you don't like my hosting don't bitch, just leave.  I'm not sorry that my past week with c4ing was great fun.  have i been know for camping before? so rapid go start up your laggy host that i beat you 6-1(constantly killing) in a 1v1 on or you can stfu and move on.  Is it true you have a 350MHz G3?

Third, Robert, your host sucks, it lags, you camp all the time, and when you're not camping, you're either dying and complaining about it, or your warping around killing people by pure luck.

Rob's host is great for me, almost no lag whatsoever. If Rob is hosting and he's warping around(which the host can not warp, because he's the host!!) it's your laggy ass, not him.

Who cares about the exact score, Rob beat Rapid. That's what counts.

Actually Ejo, yes, the host can warp, it's not as if the host is just perfect in terms of lag, they just don't get as much of it.

woot! you guys missed out. last night, i was hosting one of my ?ber BS games with 16 people, and it got full. i'm telling you, you haven't lived until you've played 16 player survival on big maps like Ruined city or Skyscraper. Oh boy, it's just fun.

hehe rapid, remmber the day i asked you to 1v1 and you said "no i like to kill in #'s". ?well anyways you wanted jo to 1v1. jo didn't want to...so jo and i thought up if jo joins the chat room in GR and i ip join and change my name to ejo as you host it would work out for the best for both of us... so any ways it took me abit to get rs going to change my name just like jo's... thats why i was late at joining and you said "what took you so long?"(something like that). so we 1v1 the first game i think you killed me but the next 6 were owned . then at the end of the 1v1 i change my name back to my name and you just left as if you were pissed and humliated. Obviously, you saw it was me and didn't wish to stick around for some reason. i remmber you saying before you wouldn't want to give me the pleasure of geting what i wanted. ?i got just about what i wanted but of course want a 6-0(like anyone else). well it was a all around victory to me. The pleasure was mine rapid.

First off, Yes, you may have beatn us 10-4, we also beat you 12-10.

Second, I keep join a "Laggy dumbass host" aka Robert, because thats the IP that people give me.

Third, Rapid's host is better for 8-10 people than yours are, infact, no matter how much Rapid's host lags, it wouldn't be as bad as yours, sence on yours, you're always there.

Forth and final, I don't give a shit what most people say. I listen to what is said only if the person who says it has a valid point.

3rd: rapid's 350mhz comp is better geard for 8-10 people?i have a duel 500 with 869mb of ram and a newer base system and i give rs a minimum size of 304832k of ram=300mb. Also, i partitioned my hard drive in to 3 and put only rs and wc3 on 1 part(i hear it speeds it up). Anyways lets here about Semper Fi's MAD Processor knowledge...

?OoA? Semper: a 350 MHz G3 vs a 350 MHz G4 on RS on the SAME setups would'nt show a huge difference, if any at all. The main thing that makes a G4 a G4 is the Alti Vec, and programs have to be programed to take advantage of the Alti Vec..

and as to who's the best host, I say Rob is.. naturally. But no, honestly now.. When rob and I play together, I ping in at <90, _SOMETIMES_ 100, but I cant think of a time that i have pinged in rob at over 100, he always has a good ping.

No the host does NOT warp. How long does it take packets from a host to reach himself? ? seconds!!! because it doesn't SEND packets in order for warp or lag. And yeah, I can confirm how I helped Rob 1v1 with Rapid.

Electronicjo,  the host can warp, when it's a processor lag, not a network lag.  I've seen it when trying to host a game that's too big.  Everyone was warping.  But it is not common.

um, i just want to mention that rob's host is leet. in terms of "fairness" it might not be, but its extremely good practice in 3v7s or 2v8s, i get better every time i play a 2v8 with him becasue i can watch him play, and i get practice. so stfu noobs.
also, when rob doesn't camp, he owns, i mean his prefiring is good, he owns with sensors, and jammers, he is by far the greatest RS player their is, i can vouche since i play with him alot. if i'd 1v1 him, i'd probly lose, and he would break my undefeated record.
his host's ping is 50 for me from seattle, he lives somewere in cali so thats a great ping, i get bigpat at 110, and he lives 2 miles from me.

say what you want about rob, or his host, but i'm impressed by both  .

Hey Rob what type of computer do you have anyways? Oh I would also like to add that I remember when Rob first started playing RS. He would host big games and play only pistol wars. He wasnt that good at the time but he turned from a newb to a pro in about a month.

i'm not sure about this, but i read in a PC gamer magazine that every person playing on a host takes 33mhz of the host's processing power. that was said for the game UT, but it might hold the same to RS.
