Ok, here is the question. Normally this would be a question for Grifter, but....
I recently bought an imac G4, 700mhz for work. It doesnt really need to be
700mhz so my question is...can I switch my 400mhz sawtooth g4 tower
processor with the imac 700mhz processor???If anyone can answer this
question it would be very helpfull.

It probably wont work.  The 700's processor is probably on a daughter card (with the level 3 cashe and stuff).  While the 400 is probably a ZIF (zero insertion force).  So it wouldn't just fit.

Plus, the motherboards and RAM are at different speeds in the two machines.

Your best bet is take the 400 into work and the 700 home Wink

Not to mention the fact that getting at anything besides the memory in the new iMacs requires significant work and will void your warranty most likely.
