Those pics look really good. Please keep us posted as to the progress of the mod.

Relax. Breathe. Focus on the reticle, not the target. Don't make the shot happen. Let the shot happen.

"A tribe's greatness is measured by how fearsome their enemies be" - Bearclaw Grizzly Adams (Blood kin to the grizzly bear that bit Jim Bridger's ass)

I'm seeing a lot of message traffic suggesting weapons for a GR mod.  Almost all of these concentrate on NATO/Western types.  The Russians are currenly using their experience in Chechnya to field a whole new generation of small arms designs.  Damned good ones I might add. I have had the opportunity to handle many of these items recently and I am both impressed by the ingenuity displayed and appalled at the thought of facing them across some distant field. I would suggest the following:

All four versions of the OTS-14 "Groza"(Thunderstorm),both with and without the attached GP-30 "Obuvka" 40mm G/L
9A-91 short assault rifle with and without the GP-95 G/L
V-94 heavy sniper rifle (12.7x107mm)
SVU bullpup sniper rifle
SVDK sniper rifle 9.3x64mm(ballistics like .375 H&H Magnum!)
VSS "Vintorez" (Threadcutter) silent sniper system
AS-VAL silent assault rifle
AN-94
AKSU
AKSU-SD
Vikhr small assault rifle
BIZON, BIZON2, BIZON3
Though by no means all inclusive, all of the above listed systems are currently in use. Any attempt to model a future conflict with or in Russia should take these into account.

a little constructive critisism (oooh that was a hard word  Wink): the silencer on the mp5 ought to be a little bigger if you ask me...

Wow... so is it just as effective as the other silencers on the market while being smaller or does it make a trade-off?

"Barret 50cal sniper (Got a buddie who has actually fired one, his main comment... LOUD!!! even with double ear protection)"

That's because, in order to be effective the compenator diverts muzzle gases to the sides and rear.  It's that or get the stock driven through your shoulder.  Action and reaction.  No free rides.

You can actually feel it in your sinuses and, if you mouth is open, on the soft palate.  It's actually even worse to the sides of the firing position.

well the damage value is (as with many other weapons in the game) wrongly calculated... it is practically the same as a 7,62N value-wize... but i have tweaked it to make it better, but i still use the mod that was made (cant remember by who) that makes it shoot explosive rounds (ive taken away the explosion tho) cose the death animations are soooo much cooler with that mod.
