Ahh I see. Well can't wait to see what else you guys come up with.  Smiley

I don't about asking what's the status of mods in development. If you guys want some time off now then please do so, you really deserve it.  Wink I was just really wondering what's been completed so far. I know Cobra posted a few images in the past.

And congrats on the IDF mod. Over 1,000 downloads in one day, pretty cool.    Grin

The M4SD was a project Mac and I took up to see if we can copy what Coco does with his models. I think we are getting close, but Coco is still the master. The M4SD is a working mod, although it is only one weapon Grin

What I am now looking for is sounds...I need more sounds. If any of you have any that we can use in future mods send them over and we will make sure you get the proper credit.

If you liked the movie Black Hawk Down, well, here is an M4 that "Hoot" carried. Needs a little more work, I'm not completly satisfied with the camo scheme.

Damn those look great! I like the second camo best, looks more like the movie version. Now if only you could rip the the sound of Sgt. Gordon's M4 SD from the movie.... ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Very cool stuff Cobra,if i may,an you know i want to add my little opinion  Cool

The only thing i have against the first one is,alittle too much camo. I don't think it should be on the mags an such. Also, the suppressor is alittle big, looks like the KAC Socom suppressor, not the KAC QD, which is pretty small.

I also like the BHD type, although i just suggest to mess with the camo abit more. It looks alittle fake,i think blurring it an adding some similar effects, like smudging, some light an such, would make it look much better,an more realistic. Just seems abit too perfect. An the look isn't exacly that of paint, kindof looks like it was professionally made that way. Adding some dirt, sracthes,an just alitte inperfection, not solid painting on everything. Things of that sort, would make it ten times better IMO.

Anyway, everything has been great thus far,im looking foward to all the new mods you guys are working on,if ya need some small help let me know,a model or two,reticule..whatever.

Yeah, you'd get silver showing in places on high edges and protrusions from the metal, and black showing in places on the plastic.

Actually Piccolo there are only a hand full of weapons modders that I would listen to, and you are at the top of the list, so I am all ears. I agree, I need to scratch up the camo a bit. The top one is gone...I watched the making of BHD and I got a good still of "Hoot" holding the weapon, so I think I am pretty close on the camo scheme. Its amazing because the pressure switch for the Surefire he had on his M4 was held on by a "Ranger Band" I did a search in Google and actually found a good pic of a "Ranger Band" that I was able to use. The wire coming from the light to the pressure switch is actually a pic of black wire I found in Google. I finally figured out that if I take the weapon apart, and place each part on a seperate layer it's much easier to get the effects I'm looking for. The "suppressor" was the only decent pic I could find that was big enough for my texture which is 1512x720. I wasnt completely pleased with the color of the camo on the M4SD, but the scheme is very close to Gary Gordon's weapon from BHD...I'm going to work on it a little more. Thanks for the feedback...it only makes me better Grin

Cool Cobra,thanks.

BTW,what do you mean by "Ranger Band"? I didn't pause the movie much,i have it on DVD also. Although i was under the impression it was just duct/electrical tape holding on the pressure switch. Which,in itself is a redundent backup system. They had those sticky pads then ,that went on the back of the pressure-pad. Also, just a bit of trivia,i have a Ranger friend who just retired,an we talked alot of the men who served in Mog. He told me Gordon was a gunsmith,an actualy made a integrall suppressor on his M4. They had a externall in the movie, although i guess it is up to you on that one. Not sure on the looks,it could have been something similar to an MP5SD although.

Other then that,i would suggest just mixing them up abit. A Aimpoint on one, extended stock on another, no flashlight on one,put a laser on another, etc.
They used M203's at the time also, one of those would be nice,an even some Masterkeys to some extent. For the Rangers atleast, they liked them on their M16's.

Ranger Bands:
http://www.therangerdigest.com/Tips___Tricks/RANGER_BANDS/body_ranger_bands.html

used to use them when I was in the infantry. Good stuff, you can use themfor everything Grin

I have an M4 with the intregal suppressor (hmmm...new idea) Cool

As far as accessories...I planed on making quite a few M4's with different attachments (your reading my mind) or I'm reading yours

Hoot actually carried a sawed off shotgun slung along his back (Mossberg 590 "Compact Cruiser", I think) Watch the making of the movie...good stuff

Cool,never heard of those Cobra.

On the shotgun,i'm pretty sure most of them were 870's. You can kinda tell from the very curvy pistol grip, an trigger guard. Plus, those were the ones used in the time, in majority.
