Ok saw it with me missis last night - bloody fantastic animation (as per usual). And its got some brilliant laughs. The use of CGI was really neatly done, when you think about where its used its obviuse - but when you watch it if you didn't think about these sorts of things you wouldn't think twice. the rabbits are so sweet and just about every woman in the cinema (and half the blokes went 'awaaah')
so yeah, well worth watching for a good laugh

Ah yes, the truth comes out, I am BFG's old lady.
We (
my
old lady and myself
) saw Elizabethtown. It was pretty good, kinda chick flicky - she cried a few times, I didn't.

Hmm thats the one about weapons trade... saw a review of it and it was pretty well spat on - said (can't remember his name, lead guy) was weak and that basically the subject really demanded a more intelligent script and plot.... ?
I guess you'd disagree with that mate?

One thing you have to remember is this:
NEVER LISTEN TO THE CRITICS!
Hell, if I had listened to them I would never have seen my 10 favorite movies of all time!

well that all depends on the critic and whether you value their opinions etc eh
Yeah he did sound a touch harsh, but i must confess from the little clips i saw i wasn't exactly best inpressed either. ah well only one way to find out!!

@ BFG: I think SinCity isn't worth the money - better rent it before you buy it on DVD and waste 20bucks.
You get to see some hot chicks, some overcool acting persons and that's it. I think the movie was ok, but nothing worth to remember. The hype was much better than the movie...

Yeah when i get a night of work i mght get it out, got an awsome video/dvd rental shop just 20seconds walk from me, just a matter of getting the gf to watch it to
Id have preffered to see it on the big screen i must say - films like that you can really only appreciate on a big scale (or rather thats the case with sin city apparently!)

Been in Doom yesterday, loved it. I couldn't put it into better words that a comment on IMDB:
Quote
Despite what many others may say, this movie is VERY good for what it is: a mindless action movie.
I enjoyed the game itself very much and it really scared the shit out of me. I was expecting a horror movie, but I soon realized that it's not only that, it's also an action movie with a good portion of humor. Well, what can you expect from an action movie other than lots of shooting and SOME suspense? If you think the movie is shallow, it is, but its supposed to be. Anyone who complains about the movie being a mindless shooting movie should realize that this is not the movie for them, so they should go watch one of their "emotional" movies if they want. However, if you need a break and just want your testosterone pumping so you can take a break from life and just be a manly man. If you don't like The Rock, then go watch a romance or comedy, this movie isn't for you. However, if you like the video game and like mindless action, this is the movie for you. Remember, not every movie has to have some deep meaning or evoke emotion, some movies are just for fun. This is one of them.

I just saw Wallace and Grommit, great movie, the animation is fantastic, the dog plane chase was done quite well. I also loved the massive explosion that the little red baron plane made lol.
