Just a short update on the developing progress of the *DBL 2.0:

The new *DBL framework has been completed. It can be easily extended with new features and modules. I have also included the possiblity to make the complete *DBL multi language if needed. People will be able to translate every standard text like Menu items(maybe even rules) step by step and add it to the system.

Right now no cb features have been finished.

The next step is to complete the database design, then all required modules like user account, clan managment, statistics, news system... will be created. In the last stage the website design and layout will be done via CSS.

Here is a work in progress overview:

- automated weekly news summaries from the battlefields
- automated and completely integrated challenge system
- online rule management + FAQ
- automated hall of fame and stat center
- poll system with special features like (clan only poll, inner clan polls, admin polls)
- extended clan and user pages
- ban system
- rule tests after registration and special tests for future admins
- improved ladder management and configuration

It's still a long way to go, but once the database has been designed the other things can be done quickly.

What I'm not doing is to think about new rules or cb setups yet. I gonna leave this up to the community to post their wishes and ideas in the regular *DBL forum. Once the programming part has been finished I gonna dedicate another 1 - 2 weeks to gather all ideas and maybe add them.

Alright so far some news.

Have a nice day,

Mauti

hi DBL admins.

Time is bad, a suggestion would be to put up a mean-time league.
I have talked to few RvS Clans out there, and this seems to be interesting.

Personally i like your work Mauti, but people wan't to play and have fun/drama
or whatever? - the design, etc comes next..

I would like the Admins to please put up something, the time we have waited
is already too long - GRPA ' the new ghost recon ladder ' you see this went
succesfull because people get to CB.. no shit, it isn't complicated..
Just a lot of cb's and fun!

Btw: maybe it would make the DBL just a bit active now.
I see it as dead right now.

Stripes

From some earlier post Mauti said he was doing the framework in Java.

Monoman the Java framework is done for something else related with the *DBL ;-).
The web stuff(framework I talked about) is created entirely with PHP, MySQL, Javascript and CSS.

Yes, BFG right now I have just created a framework where you can just plug in all modules like login, etc. The entire design is created with CSS which will be wrapped around in the final developing stage. So contrary to the current *DBL you can easily modify the layout. You just have to change some css classes.

@ Stripes: unfortunaly I can't provide an inbetween league. I already tried that with the final season, but it just consumes to much time and would prolong the developing. However I gonna try my best to finish the *DBL within the month and so we can start early october.

Bye,

Mauti
