Contrary to the *DBL 1.0 the league won't focus just on seasons.

You can also do cbs inbetween seasons. Each cb will be counted for your overall ladder, which tracks all your stats from the beginning when you sign up. And as posted in another topic once a year the top clan wins the *DBL champion award.

So your season wins also have a value that goes beyond the ending of the season. Players can always track their progress. Clans may wanna do some friendly offseason cbs to reach the "played cbs" qualification requirement for the next tournament, etc...

During offseasons also special events may be hold like european and us championships, etc.

You don't jump from one season to the next one anymore.

Beside that there willl be 3 seasons per year.

So far a quick overview.

As I read this I thought of Tennis.  Every tournament awards points which count toward their overall rankings, but it only calculates the last 12 months of activity. So if a player wins a huge tourney, gets mega points, but which keep adding up according to his other performances.....
