Yea, I saw this!!, no doubt Apple will make it so that it will be hardware dependant and not a firware thingy, you can DL and install on your current Mac. Just another way to convince people to buy a new Mac. Smart business...

Its just so damn slick though - i mean i thought the burger alarm one was kinda cool, but this is such an intuative way of switching desktops.. dunno how crazy folk would be about smacking their laptop heh but damn is it slick.

Noms: it's using the motion-detector hardware that comes in the newish Apple laptops.
BFG: It looked more like he was giving it gentle love taps. The motion-detector seems to be sensitive; there's no need to go all Ike & Tina on it.

There have been several games made to take advantage of the motion sensor in the MacBooks, and several tech demos as well. The technology is there to implement the SmackBook legitimately. It'd be silly to fake it.
