Sufjan Stevens... "Concerning The UFO Sighting Near Highland, Illinois"  (from the album "Come on feel the Illinoise!"

... This guy is crazy. He's traveling around the US and making a CD for EVERY SINGLE state... first up is Illinoi  -- i love this track

then again the track names are mad, for instance:

"Riffs And Variations On A Single Note For Jelly Roll, Earl Hines, Louis Armstrong, Baby Dodds, And The King of Swing, To Name A Few"

"A Short Reprise For Mary Todd, Who Went Insane, But For Very Good Reasons"

"A Conjunction Of Drones Simulating The Way In Which Sufjan Stevens Has An Existential Crisis In The Great Godfrey Maze"

- Quite possibly the longest track names (and maddest) ever known Wink

in case you guys didnt know, {E}Slick runs a terrific email based music show.... check it out...

Well, it is upon us. Friday is here. So here's the skinny. Free Music Friday is growing each week. The word in the bum community here in SF
is that FMF is top choice around the 'ol campfire, so thank you fans. Seriously though, we are growing. Thanks for all the emails.

This weeks Indie set comes from LA and an avid fan "theweakspot" with an unbelievable mix of indie new and old, props weak.
Many more sets are being feverishly created in his LA Studio.

Also new this week is a DJ Set From DJ Stephen Wiley at http://www.afterhoursdjs.org , check them out. We hope to encourage a new
set from DJ Wiley in the weeks ahead. For those who want a copy of his set,  please email us and we'll be glad to get you that link.

A new installment in the Dream Upon Waking Series, disk 2 is rolling.

Bachelor Pad is the red-headed stepchild of this organization and will be updated next week.

Lounge for Lovers is on autopilot. Will add the second disk soon.

Spread the word about FMF and hug a police officer.

That's all from HQ.

Enjoy FMF
