Im not aware of Mylo being a keen ball licker Bront's, but then again i don't usually take the name of albums as literal! Wink

Im having a random shuffle session while i work this afternooon, so far i've had all sorts thrown up!:  Sting, LTJ Bukum, Bob Marley and the wailers, and some Justin Adams.

Ps for you Pat Menthey group liking guys, u might want to listen to Some Justin adams ("Desert Road")  Smiley

i'm on it We need more love

i've been playing the hell out of the following:

the beatles - the white album
the band
team sleep
oasis - don't believe the truth
coldplay - x&y (i grew to like it, but still disagree with about 5 songs...i think it's the neglect of ambience....filling up every gap with a synth just detracts from the raw emotion, plus i don't like their faster paced songs)

coldplay just a touch overrated... anway, currently listeing to mylo; 'Destroy rock and roll' apparently you would call it sophisticated dance with a mix of hippy hoppy funk type ting.

Awesome album. Made in his bedroom on nothing more than a 500mhz powerbook, cheap mic, keyboard and a few warezed audio apps.

Currently: Jeff Buckley - Grace

nice civic...the acoustic cd is amazing.

edit: anyone on here knocking coldplay's new album is a retard.  that is by far their best album they have ever wrote....just because its slower music doesnt mean it is repetitive.  This album, along w/ the foo fighters new one is all ive listened to for the past 2 weeks.

twist the music on that album is faster not slower...

they still write great songs, but the album isn't as consistent as the other two..i actually skip songs on the new one (white shadows, talk, swallowed in the sea). it's not that they are bad songs, but that's not what i want to hear when i'm listening to coldplay. and i'm pretty sure they did it on purpose, but in case they didn't, speed of sound is just clocks II. also, i mentioned before, they overuse the synth and neglect the ambience that punctuated their songs so well before. example: in A Message, the intro is the best part, but the intro of X&Y was just a missed oppurtunity (the rest of the song makes up for it, it's actually my favorite on the album).

even with all the criticism, it's still a strong album, just not by coldplay's standards.
of course that's just my opinion though.
