And check out Casiopea. Amazing jazz fusion band from Japan. I can't remember if I've mentioned them before. They're all insane musicians, especially the drummer and bass player. Tetsu Sakurai is the MAN when it comes to Japanese bass players. Damn their efficiency Sad Makes us Americans look bad! Grin

mellow i couldn't find anything by Casiopea to listen to, OT i'm listening to envy - distress of ignorance. it's cool, i'm guessing that this isn't one of their real hardcore songs though. i didn't realise he was singing in japanese til 3 minutes in haha.

Bronto,

Your references sound like the references of a playin man..
If so, what do you play?

C-1 Schecter Elite w/10's -Duncans- marshal 100w combo here.

My List:
Steve Vai-Jiboom
Satriani - Satch Boogie
Indigenous -Hold On
Terry Evans - Get Your lies straight

---------

Evil shit..every one of 'em, evil.
And 'hell yeah' to your Metheny remarks-

yessum, i play them strings. i only recently switched from bass to guitar, but i'm coming along nicely. i play ibanez for the most part, i guess i'm more of a technical player, but i have an american strat for the blues in me. my main rig goes like this:

Ibanez SZ320 w/a dimebucker on the bridge. play this through a Carvin MTS3200 half stack. i have rack gear too, but i don't wanna get into that lol.

i don't play many covers, i learn bits and pieces just for the sake of knowledge. i've been learning dark side of the moon all the way through, making use of my processor. also been trying to learn tender surrender all the way through, going real slow with that one. got down the solo from How Do The Fools Survive by The Doobie Brothers recently. also panasonic youth by the dillinger escape plan. not much else besides me writing bits and pieces.

Apocalyptica - The Unforgiven.

A very interesting re-creation of the popular Metallica song, except it is done strictly with classical instruments.  I think it's amazing.  They also did Enter Sandman, Master of Puppets, Harvester of Sorrow, Sad But True, Creeping Death, Wherever I May Roam, and Sanitarium.

I would recommend this to both Metallica and Classical music fans alike.  Double nifty for me, since I enjoy both.   Cheesy
