Modding for Raven Shield is still very difficult so I don't think it's gonna happen Raven.
Cobra - Do you have any pics of, or better yet, a reticle of an Trijicon ACOG Reflex?

Commando how is Modding in GhR different to RvS? - im completely clueless regarding modding but i know that GhR settings and info seems (i think) to be all based around xml and html and relitivly straight forward - and that isn't the case with RvS.... ??

Ok the thing is: (if I am authorized to answer)
1. RvS uses a completely different engine to GR. RvS uses the Unreal Warfare engine (a lighter version as far as i know) GR uses some Redstorm thing I dont know too much about.
2. There isnt really an easy way to create weapons for RvS yet. There hasnt been a plugin created for 3dsmax or any other 3d moddeler.
3. Some programming skills are required to programm new things (such as weapons) for RvS. The Programming Language of the Warfare engine is similar to C++ or Java.

That's a pretty good take Raven... RvS uses a highly modified propietary version of the Unreal engine, and UBI in their infinite wisdom hasn't (probably will not) released any modding tools other than the Map Editor. There are some 3rd party products that allow you to decompile the packages used, but those are tedious and unsupported.
@Mac - can you post some screenshots of these weapons? I don't have it installed anymore

Ahh thankyou, yeah i knew that RvS used a modfied version of the unreal engine but i hadn't realised just what that ment for a modder - as for the lack of anything much else than a map editor - surely taking tools created for modding for other games using the unreal engine and altering them with relevance to RvS would not be overly difficult? more straightforward could they not simply release the tools they used to make the game in the first place or is that very unlikely?!

Thats exactly the thing I'd like to know. But apparently the engine is too modified to use the normal unreal plugins. You can load static meshes created in 3dsmax - i think it is- into the RvS editor and use them for maps and i suppose thats how those modders got the weapon models in....of course im not sure though

They could, if they wanted to. But they dont seem to want to, i have no idea why. I mean..now that RvS is an "Old" game and the salerates are going down, they could give themselves a boost through releasing the plugin. And now that the first mod has been released its just a matter of time till its made easier by the community to mod the game. No way to stop it so i think they should release it. Its unlikely though

They don't want the community to release a better expansion then they did with Athena Sword
They blew it hard with this game - I think they realize that - in fact there is "another" R63 in development.
