I worked for a newspaper as a photographer, and whenever I was sent on an assignment to take pictures of a subject I would sometimes just point the camera at their face, hold the photo button down and hope there would be some expression that would fit the article, usually I'd wind up with 150+ photos. When someone sticks a camera in your face and holds it there during whatever casual thing you're doing, there's bound to be a few photos that are "less flattering".
