That's possibly the most retarded thing ever. You can't hack into servers like that, and it's no harder to upload a CD to someone than a simple file. One way you get it when you want it, and you don't have to get up  |

The CD takes manual labor and dowloading a nocd image and getting a registration code, you have to go get the cd or have your forgetful friend give it to you, rather than downloading it off the internet then easily finding a no cdimage and code off the internet.

1.) No CD images are for the people who don't have toast. (A application, reading your stuff I bet you you wouldn't know)
2.) Registrations codes would be included in the transaction. (not the CD image)

You know what's fun? This went from Macintosh's introduction in 1984 to pirating software in the present day and age. And the entire conversation has been hijacked by pretty much two people. Why dont you two (Myst & dark) just PM each other, so everybody else doesnt have to read it?

Disc are already being phased out. I believe it will have a application that will work like the iTMS that lets you purchase a game and DL it through only that application using a secure format. for removable media there will be things like sony's memory card.

prob with that is peoples internet connection, 56k would take DAYS to download (legally) a game like RvS:AS That is why I dont see the disc being phased out quite yet.
