i do a lot of video editing, i don't think mac mini is the best idea.

you sign up for one of the free things, cancel it after you complete the offer on the page, and i'm one step closer to getting my $1000 toward a new mac. it's free for you, you just have to pick a free trial thing, then cancel right after it goes through that you completed it. i have it set up to paypal me $1000 instead of a laptop so i can put that toward a desktop. anyone care to help??

Um, just out of curiosity, how has that video editing been going on that obsolete PC you've been getting by with???  I would have to say a Mac Mini has got to be tremedously better than the PC you've been using.[/size]

it wasn't too bad 6 months ago, but i recently started again, right when it crapped itself. i mean, it wasn't great, but it worked. i use most of the ports on a computer, all the mic / line in ports, both firewires, all three usbs. it'd be a pain to have to keep on switching things. i want to get something that'll work for me for a long time, instead of going cheap like i always do.
