The United States in its hegemonic condition seems nearly invincible. We are the lone superpower, just as Rome and Colonial Britain once were. However it is naive to imagine our condition will always remain as it is. Life is change, it is inevitable. The inability to change will led to the future degradation of civilization.
In an age where a global holocaust is possible, one cannot help but to wonder why humanity has set itself on a course of destruction. This may help put things into perspective for the laymen

In an age where War is propagated by the greedy on inaccurate pretenses, it is difficult to imagine a bright future. Will humanity ever come before fiscal gain? I fear not within my lifetime or the next, this is of course if humanity does not commit suicide prior. For now I await in my mentally constructed bunker, with a NBC suit, M79 gas mask, potassium iodide tablets and by Tom Ridge's recommendation a shit load of duct tape.
