So I'm sitting here at my comp right now with nothing better to do, so I'm going to start rambling. Earlier today I was on GR, played some R6, and had a good time. I have actually started playing more lately, and it's good to be back. However, there is one thing that is extremely annoying: Where is GR X? I remember back in this summer hearing that it would be out by the end of August. Obviously, we still don't have it yet. Right now, whenever I want to play R6, I realistically must switch over to OS 9. I could handle just R6 being classic, but having both that and GR not native is enough to force me to switch.

Now, I realize before that I have pointed out on many occassions that this is a free service we are receiving so we should not whine. I guess I'm being somewhat hypocritical in that regard, but I think this situation is different. If Evill came out and stated that he is having problems coding in X or whatnot, that's fine by me. Just tell us. Instead, all we have to look at is the press release on the GR site which says GR X will be out "soon." The dangling carrot is getting quite annoying. It is almost two and a half months since we were supposed to have it, but we have no word on it. Now that I'm done rambling, I think I'm going to reboot and go play some R6 so I can kill some SBR's and let some steam off.

Hey Ace I have good news and bad news:
Good News: MaG is OS X compatable, and should go for every Macintosh OS
Bad News: Kevill is having problems with the programming, something about CarbonLib, since my contacts to GR have been cut permantly I don't know much more then that.

Wrath of the Eternal Irony.

Before you MaG whores get too excited, I will switch to OS 9, run it in classic, do whatsoever just as long as I can use GR rather than MaG. I decided today to download MaG to check it out. Well, I logged on to find Rom and 4 other guys. I looked and looked and looked but still could not find anything that would make me think it was in any way different from GS: a poorly designed, powerless, overly-hyped chat client that will collect permabanned GR users.

That said, I hope this thread doesn't get off track onto stuff like MaG... but I know that's an impossible dream.

They are consitering adding in auto-start thing so you dont have to manuly join games... And 3b10 will be out this week. I have never crashed in MaG, where is GA (GamerAnger) crash's a lot. I still think (know) that GA has most of the 'market' but I think thatMaG will have a good chanch of survial.

My main bone with MaG is that everyone gets these big icons that I have to download every time I log on.

In addition to that, whenever you click somewhere, it refreshes all those icons.

Rom, do you mean to play a game of RS in MaG you have to IP connect manually and that MaG will soon make it like GR where it connects you to the host without getting their IP address? or do you mean MaG would automatically connect me to a Host w/ a 400 ping of whom I didn?t even want to connect to in the first place?

Jagged - I don't know about you (and I'm sure Ace feels the same) but if I've bought a $130 OS system such as OS X, I'm sure as hell going to use it. ?
