What with the little morsals of information we have recieved over the last weeks and months it seems now that we can be pretty certain that Apple is going to annonce today a new 'mini' iPod for less that 100$ or so...
Speculation about Jobs announcing speed bumped G5's and A G5 Server have been popular, but given some recent behaviour i think Apple will move away from talking about Speed bumped machines and move more and more towards talking about new sofware etc and the release of new products (when they produce them!)

Do people have any final speculations in the final few hours before jobs takes the stage?!

I don't have any predictions, I just really really really hope that there are G5 speed bumps... thereby lowering prices on low-end models.

I'm sitting here during my free period, and I'm all excited about watching the streaming Expo, when I realized it's at 9 am PACIFIC TIME.

BLAH! That's 12 o'clock, Snipe, not 9. Noob.

just a tit bit:

MacSoft today announced they will begin showing Unreal Tournament 2004 at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco. This will be the first Mac showing of the title and is among the first chances for the general gaming public--Mac or PC--to give the game a try.

And another one

Aspyr have announced that they will be porting "Call of Duty" to the mac... Smiley

300 dollar mini ipods. New iLife. Xserve G5. iBook G4's.

Jobs... you fucked up big time, man.

You have precisely three weeks to show me some G5 speed bumps.

I am so pissed.  Many people had speculated that they would try to capture the market of people that don't want to pay 300 dollars for an ipod.  So what do they do, they bring out a mini for 250! If I were you I would fork out the extra 50 dollars to shift from 1,000 songs to 3,700.  Jobs you did fuck up and this better not be the end of the ipod releases.  Does anyone know if he will do it tomorrow also, that is realease more ipod gear maybe another one with harddrive.  Why the hell did he discontinue the 10.  It was a perfect number.  Jobs Jobs Jobs u better come out with the 3Ghz G5.

G5 speed bumps by the end of January.

I expect mini-ipods to drop in price (under $200) by this time next year.

I can't wait to get my hands on GarageBand. That is the software application of the year! I seriously doubt anything better will come out until 2005.
