What's General Gossip for?

on the *DAMN R6/RS Community page it says all of the different forum rooms, un der general gossip it says "News, rumors, greetings, quarrels".  Quarrels[/u] is the key word there.  If people wanna have a flame war, why not let them???  Let them start their own thread and flame away, isn't that one of the reasons why we have general gossip, to talk freely?

lmao I was wondering about that too i just didnt want to upset the admins with "spam". But yeah let them fight. 1. Its Entertaining (If you dont be an asshole and bump ur way in the fight) 2. II dont have a fucking reason.

maybe there should be a whole other place for them to just fight it out... I dont get into those sorts of things and I know for sure the admins seem to hate it, but it is sorta funny when they get so pissed at eachother

i'm so over the whole argueing nonsense that your talking about.
its hard to have a logical arguement with some people in GG. However its nice in the BlackOps area because people are more mature and respond in a logical manner.

The idea is that pretty much any arguments are fine, as long as they're quality, if you're just throwing insults back and forth, it gets locked.

I am the colin who started this post and have read the "pic of rapid" post and think a new forum room (maybe called "the fight club" or something) should be made.  If people want to fight, let them do as they please...maybe if the admins don't agree someone else who nuetral and willing could make a new forum or room in their forum for this type of stuff.  Xoclipse has made the nicest forum i have ever see to date so maybe he could help out.  However, i'd rather just have a seperate room here on the DAMN site or maybe the mods could lower theirrestricts just a bit?

btw, mods, if u think freedom of speech is important, please do not delete this post!

If people want to launch personal attacks on others e.g. insulting them, they should do it privately.  The forums are not the place for that.  To allow hostile insults (and we can tell the intent fairly well) makes the community one filled with hate and it takes the fun away from a place that should be only about fun.

i'm just saying i think we should have a place to say whatever because at first u told me that we could quarrel as the room name say but as long as its respectfully, now u say that we can't have personal attacks and  think pretty much any type of quarrel starts with a personal attack no matter how small...

Oso, neither Mauti nor any of the mods have posted in this thread so far. The rules are the same as they have always been. Basically, if you spam or are totally offensive, your post is going to get deleted. In all honesty, not much stuff gets deleted. Don't jump to conclusions based upon some people's speculations.
