In one of the greater finds of my many boring hours at work i came across this game called "left behind". Wow is this a funny funny game.
To summarize the game, you are part of humanity that is "left behind" after god calls the "good" citizens to heaven. So now you are basically stuck on earth to fight what is know as the rapture or the apocalypse. Now here comes the great part. Your role in the game is to be one of the left behind characters who will now fight in the name of the lord against the anti-christ. The anti-christ just so happens to be the leader of a united global military faction disguised as a peace keeping force. Hrm...sounds like the UN doesn't it. In addition, the names of the leader of this anti-christ army have really cool names like Suhail Akbar or Abdullah Smith, all surprisingly muslim sounding.
So basically you run around in the game amassing "converts" to fight the anti-christ. And if you wish, you can kill the non-believers or those that won't convert.
In all, what a funny ass piece of hate propaganda. Gotta love the religions of peace!
Left Behind is a great series of books that talk about the rapture, etc, and the 1,000 years that the devil reigns earth after Jesus comes back (which is all straight out of the bible). I don't know about making a video game about it..sounds kinda cheesy, but if you are a religious person (especially more of a christian-based religion), like i am, then you would love the series.
Of course if you aren't a religious person, then you're probably just going to make fun of the whole idea.
