Never read the book, but I remember it being a series on the BBC back in the eighties.
Trailer looks very promising and Stephen Fry's commentary on it is just "smashing"

looking at  the cast I can honestly say it will be a winner .
Martin Freeman ("the office")
Mos Def (mosdefinatly)
Stephen Fry
John Malkovich
Bill Nighy

I can't wait. Smiley I dunno how well it'd translate into a movie though, it's so bizzare.
Edit: Just saw the new trailer. My lord, that's hillarious!

Well, people are going to shoot me for this, but I never liked the book(s). It was too much for me. I've seen the old TV series(or as much as I could stand) and it sucked. Perhaps they can make the movie work, but I have a fealing that they will fail. I'd like some Terry Pratchett novels made for the big screen though.

I SECOND THAT! if they make harry potter films they could at least make terry pratchett films for the people over the age of 13. i mean i like harry potter books and film, but an 18 year old can't walk out of the theatre not feeling slightly gay afterwards.

btw did anyone see that thing on PAX (lol) where JK Rowling's cousin was claiming to be the real harry potter and they put him on lie detector and he wasn't lying...lololol

Excited about the movie, having never read the book? How does that work?
