Pride and dignity mean nothing on the battlefield!

« on: March 12, 2005, 12:57:53 am »

I was reading Slashdot.org, and they had this article about this guy coming up with a game that allows you to help Emily Dickinson write poetry. You can interact with her and it will be on a USB drive. It also stated the guy who came up with the concept would also have different "games" of the sort. Examples would be, Albert Einstein, Harry Truman, Edgar Allen Poe, and maybe even Homer Simpson.

Now here's the question, what would be an awesome game that you, the avid online gamer you are, would create?

The War in Iraq would make an awesome game. Endless towelhead owning action! Or maybe DuckHunt the Towelhead addition, where cameljockies ride camels across the screen and u shoot them down with a orange gun!

don't be mean? you just insulted an entire race you bigot. how can you stereotype me when you don't even know me? and i never said i stereotyped you, i said that you are the reason it happens. and i'm not even going to get into why seeking inspiration from an mtv pop punk band is the saddest thing i ever heard.

The perfect game for me.. .

- A learning curve, a game where it takes time to learn the process of getting the "bullet" in the enemy. Where you still after months (years?) find new ways to improve yourself. Where there isn't a "specific thing" you can do to win, and the outcome relies more on preparation and experience.

- Tactical. Ie. not a static reticule and "run and gun"

- Teamwork, not just that you are on voicechat and tell the enemys location, but where there actually is a benefit of making tactics and practicing together.

- Anti camper. Where a guy who's static and a guy who's coming around a corner have equal chances of getting each other. And with teamwork the guys coming around the corner have a even bigger chance of winning "the battle".

Ummm.. That's all I can think of now, might come up with more when I sober up.

Hey, whaddaya know! Ghost Recon satisfies pretty much every requirement. Ghost Recon 2 coming out soon  clapping hands

Actually there are a bunch of games about the war in Iraq. For one it's called Desert Storm, and they have games of it for Mac, PC, Xbox, N64...
