Will the NHL live on as always this upcoming season? Or is it in deep shit?

Hockey sucks, there is the NFL, NBA, and the MLB Playoffs.  Hockey is losing money and interest in the USA anyways.  But, hell if it's good for the economy, let Hockey live then.  The stock market went down like 20 points today.

I like hockey and i hate soccer. NCAA football is the best along with the NFL and the MLB. go Astros and Red Sox!

Snipe, try Lacrosse as an alternative sport  Cheesy

Granted, not Hockey, but Box (indoor) lacrosse, the playing field is identical to that of Hockey...so, kinda close, right?  Plus its just as, if not more, violent.

Ok first of all, soccer can rot in hell...

...or in Europe.

But I would rather watch a basketball game than a soccer game, and I despise watching basketball...

Yes, the NFL is great, but I can't wait a full week between games.

Yes, the MLB Playoffs are the greatest sporting event of the year (better than the Olympics, even), but they end in October.



I guess my problem is that the NBA season is WAY TOO LONG, and goes well past the Superbowl. But during the bulk of the winter, during the week, I need my hockey...

I would rather watch a good soccer match than anything else in the world. Baseball playoffs are great, Footballs great, but to much time in between games.

Well with the absence of the NHL, it gives the OHL (ontario hockey league) a chance to show off more, and besides its the league that produces most of the NHL draft players anyway.
