Hey guys, it's been a while.

I have a quick question. I haven't been modding these games lately, but I'm sure you guys have  Wink , so I'll just ask here.

Can the weapon models and textures be opened in Raven Shield? Last time I was around, it was impossible to open anything, except maybe do maps or something like that...

And with Ghost Recon is it possible to open those weapon files? (I could probably go looking for the files in Ghost Recon, but I don't have it installed  Shocked, and I thought it'd be easier just to ask).

There is a program out there, if you don;t have unrealed from the UT2K3 or UT2K4 that will allow you to "unpack" the textures for Raven Shield

With my GR question, I was just wondering if it's possible to import the weapon models in 3D Studio Max 5.0

I'd like to tinker around with them a bit  Cool

I don't believe there is a way to import  .qob file without modifying the code, however,  Mike Schell did  provide the weapons for all 3 (GR.DS & IT) at one time.

Here is a link that will get you to all of the .chrs in 3DMax format, not sure where the wepons are, maybe SC knows?

I'm back  Embarrassed


I've opened the model files in max, but I was expecting the files to already have some UV mapping already laid out. I was going to convert .rsb textures to .bmp and simply click and drag the .bmp file onto the model. However, that is not the case- I need to remap the entire model.

When I look at the sa80 .rsb file, I just am completely lost in mapping each part to the model. So...

Do I just have to remap the entire model if I'm planning on putting the original texture on?
