I have been experiencing a problem with the socom/sensors kit on the DBL maps:  The first sensor will work fine, but then the second one almost always doesn't lay - although it seems to sometimes.  I'm pretty sure this only happens with the Socom and not other guns like the OICW, and only on the DBL maps.  I'll look into it more, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem... I have talked to Bonfire and Murdurah about it, and they it happens to them too.  Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

I've never had problems with the SOCOM but:

I often experience that only the first sensor of the Mp5/4sens works. The rest wont work at all and the first one will only work for a minute or so.

Also: I wish someone could investigate the GhR bug that sometimes simply kills sensors. Sometimes all your sensors just plain out die. Why?

It does happen - often i find the most commen cause is your placment when trying to place the sensor - its most unlikely to ahppen i find on a flat surface, but much more likely to happen if your right next to a wall or a rock or equivelant...

I noticed that on some maps it would do that such as laying the sensors down in a corner of a building... Like inside the garage at M-B-C....

Try going into a room and laying both sensors in the middle of no where and see if u still get that bug... then try going to MBC an go into the garage and try laying some in some corners....

yep...  Wink

Also placing a sensor inside a crater can mean that it is virtually useless.

Unfortunately, those are usually the best places to put them..

I just find this whole thing weird, because the problem seems to be happening a lot more since the dbl 2.55 came out.

Very very true... hence why its annoying heh.

Hmm u think there is somthing in the map pack that has caused problems? Initially i would say very unlikely becasue it hasn't changed any of the core game files at all...

It must be a problem between the DBL maps and the kits cuz the second sensor problem only happens on DBL maps  Huh

Simple. The kits have nothing to do with it, as they all use the same sensor item file. The maps, however, are known to be more buggy. Buggy maps = buggy sensor placing.

I have a general question that kind of applies to this thread...I was in a general game(not a cb or ffa) and we had sensors turned off. While running around the map, I saw a sensor lying near the middle of the map (dedust), around a corner in an obscure spot. I tried to shoot it full auto from right on top of it but it did not dissappear. The game was with only myself and 2 other players, one of whom admitted to seeing and trying to destroy the sensor also. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before as well?
