Small Tree communications introduces 10 Gig 64Bit PCI-X Ethernet cards.
Price for one card: 4770$  Shocked

Better buy another G5 before you invest in such a network...

lol. Most people don't have anything above 100MB Connections... and few need it.

Well if you are in need of your servers a lot, like when you need 3d rendering or an OPI server. 10 Gig can come in handy because you can have multiple 1 Gig lines without taking each other bandwith. I know a lot of companys that are specialized in 3d rendering and photostocking, that would appreciate the extra amount of bandwith.
Well if I had a big ass company and had the money for it, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. If you calculate the time I loose each day copying files from one comp to another or from my comp to our server, it would be around the same pricerange in one year in wage as the card would cost.

So Boss if you read this... prolly won't but... BUY ME A FRICKIN G5 AND THAT SUPERCARD. So I can finally start working without having to wait 30 mins for copying a stupid file or having to restart my comp because it crashed once again. OMG I really hate OS 9 now... Grin

lol thats pretty bad sent... your still on OS9??? OH my ... oh my hehe.

The last real need i had for OS9 was with Director.. but Director MX solved that problem... and apart from Apples QTVR Authorer i think thats just about it Cheesy

Wouldn't mind wizzing a few files back and fouth on a connection like that i must admit Cheesy
