Am I the only one who thinks its a bit odd to introduce a new map pack 1 week before finals? Shouldnt we have waited till next season before were forced to use them?

Although I'm not playing too much GhR these days, I gotta agree.  This map pack should have waited until next season.

In my opinion unforeseen challenges make it more interesting.

Understood Mauti... I guess you aint play the new maps in CBs?

But your not out there getting killed and running into glitches that u cant run out of....

Shit... next time u release a new mod... how bout you let ALL OF US TEST IT OUT.... before bringing it in 1 week before finals.... Or if you wanna get crazy with it... how bout you release it next time during finals...

Seems like your the only one Mauti that chooses to use this mappack yet your not even playing this season.... I say put it up to a vote... and let the COMMUNITY DECIDE... Not one man who doesnt play this game anymore.....

Please dont get the wrong idea...

I love mauti, hes mad cool....

Just the idea of introducing a new map pack 1 week before finals... and then telling people to deal with it when he doesnt have to just sucks...

I am not sure i follow you there....where in the rules does it say that we can refuse to play a map the other team is choosing?

Come on everyone!  LOVE ONE ANOTHER!!!

Remember that movie with Fred Savage? The Wizard?!?  Remember how the final game was played on a game that no one had seen before?  Now you have to admit that Super Mario Bros 3 was/is buggier than GhR will ever be. Wink  Maybe all finals games should be played on a dedicated server, and then new maps are picked that no one has ever seen before!  Cheesy

Just play guys.  It's not like you can't pick other maps.

i posted a topic asking about this new map pack in the admin section... and i was mystefied at the lack of questions from the comminity... Glad to see somepeople feel the same way here...

Firstly i think there are several issues with the 2.0 release - First one that comes to mind is that we believe the WZ location on Chalet to be unbelievably unfair... Had the WZ been placed above the tunnel it would even up the game immensly.... i believe Saberian has fixed this issue if it can be incoporated...

Unlike the 1.5 bl map pack that went through extensive BL admin testing and checking this map pack seems to have been created by a couple of guys, checked by mauti and then released to the public... i don't know about the other admins here but i was somewhat suprised that we were kept in the complete dark about this, without even an opportunity to suggest new maps that might be popular... I think several of the included maps lack... well gameplay and quality.

Also it feels like a lot of these maps are orientated around CQB..... Im sure a lot of folk love CQB but (apart from DAM which most people wont play due to the Map shitting on your framerates) their arn't that many big open maps..

The biggest shock is that these maps be introduced in the final week.....

Im all for introducing map packs and game types to keep the energy there and the intrest alive... but the way this was done with the 2.0 map pack more than suprised me.

Yeah...so it seems, but the question is why should we deal with it now...and not in the off-season?? We have asked, but I can see no reply on that question...Why was it included now, and not in the off-season?

Because Mauti (aka: god of the *DAMN Universe) wanted it that way.  He runs the show here and he can do whatever he wants.  Just take it as a challenge, which I believe is why he threw it in here towards the end of the season.

woah major suction of lips on ass cheeks there. Of course he runs this, my point was that firstly mauti dosn't play in the Bl or even GhR much to my knowledge, nobodies screaming at him just querying the methodology behind this... and as u can see a lot of the comunity don't seem wildly inpressed.
